New Project Alert! The 2024–25 Colorado College viewbook is out in the wild. I continued the travel theme that we're applying to all of this year's admissions materials. Love the final result.

EXCITING NEWS: I found out today that I won THREE InHouse Design Awards from Graphic Design USA Magazine, a national publication for designers and creative professionals. I've never won national-level awards before, so I'm pretty freaking stoked. There were over 5000 entries and only 10% were chosen.

I won for my Admitted Student Welcome Box, The Peak alumni magazine, and the Tiger Tail Ale logo for the collaboration between CC and Goat Patch Brewing Co. They will be published in their September issue highlighting the award winners.

It’s taken a minute to get the CC Homecoming out in the wild. Homecoming will also kick off the 150th celebrations for the year.

I did a fun integration of vector illustrations with the historic photos to bring in a playfulness this fun weekend and big celebration.

The 150th anniversary street banners I designed for Colorado College were installed today. I'm so excited to see these vibrant beauties in the wild.

FINALLY I get to share the designs I created for the 2024-2025 theatre season. The season was officially announced tonight so the secret is out.

I am so proud of this collection. I wanted the season to share a cohesive style so I chose to focus on bold typography with simple illustrations.

My favorite is Dial M for Murder, which is an ode to legendary designer and his iconic Hitchcock posters.

It's heeeerrrreeee! The new for the and is officially released! Yours truly designed it and came up with the name (our students, alumni, and faculty ultimately voted it in).

The beer itself launches in Fall 2024. Could not be more excited!

Happy Birthday, ! Today, CC turns 150 years old (that's called a Sesquicentennial for you fancy folks). I have the privilege of creating the 150th . I made a customized mark starting with the Milka typeface.

My goal was to create a modern mark that will represent the next 150 years. I wanted something that would be versatile and could be used as a design element instead of just a logo. It can be filled with patterns, photos, or illustrations. I also made custom of distinct buildings on campus (Cutler Hall, Shove Chapel, Tutt Library), and unique events (Llamapalooza).

I am so excited to see this out in the wild and used throughout the next year.

Super excited about the homecoming save the date postcard I designed for Colorado College. It's going to be a great weekend of celebrating reunions and commemorating the college's 150th anniversary.

It's hereeeeeee! All students who are accept to CC receive this box filled with awesome CC swag and literature on why they should decide to attend the college.

I designed the box, all printed materials, and all of the swag. I am so insanely excited about this project and incredibly proud.

When students are accepted to CC, they receive a box in the mail full of cool spirit swag, their formal acceptance letter, and collateral materials to help them decide if CC is where they want to go.

I finally finished designing the box and chose a travel theme since A. it's fun and B. so many CC students are international C. CC is known for their extensive study abroad program that nearly all students participate in at least once.

The student focus group went wild, so we are ready to move forward.

I am so proud of this piece!

I did a thing! Earlier this year I took several courses in UI as it was something I'd never ventured into before. Today, the Colorado College online alumni hub launched with the UI designed by yours truly. Super excited and proud how this turned out.

My first time ever working in After Effects, I decided to tackle something way over my head. But, hey, you gotta go big or go home! CC is retiring their normal alumni magazine and launching a new platform website. Logo is also by yours truly.

I’ve been living the design nerd life in Nashville the last several days, attending . What an inspirational extravaganza! I’ve gotten to meet several of my idols (hello Jessica Hische, Paula Scher and Michael Beirut), connect with old friends (Justin!!) and make new ones. My creative juices are flowing!!

It's a wrap! All commencement events at CC are complete. I'm really proud of the design concept I applied to all of the collateral this year—it was an extreme departure from previous designs. My purpose was to reflect the creativity, uniqueness, and vibrancy of CC's students.

It is with great joy and definitely some tears that I am pleased to announce I accepted an offer to join Colorado College as their new Creative Director.

My Pikes Peak family has been so wonderful. They picked me up and built up my confidence when I was at my absolute worst from my previous job. Colleagues turned into friends turned into a second family. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I was given at PPSC and even more proud I get to leave my brand design behind as a legacy.

I love PPSC's mission and students, and I plan to continue teaching my class every spring.

I am very excited for a new opportunity that brings a lot of growth and to get to be a part of such a well-respected institution.

I'm pleased to announce that I completed another course on UI Design. I'm really getting into learning a new medium that incorporates my love of design and layout, but with new challenges.

It's been a hot, hot minute since I did a personal, fun design project. This is one of my all-time favorite quotes by Steve Jobs. Playing with type is most definitely my favorite thing about being a designer.

This print designer is finally crossing over into UX and UI. I completed my first course on Udemy and my first mobile & desktop website prototypes.

PPSC Marketing is getting their holiday cheer on. It's always fun to get creative with our holiday cards. Took inspiration from Scandinavian folk are for the illustrations, and we chose a message of peace, because man this world needs it.

I completed my first course from Udemy on UI / UX Design and using Adobe XD. I really, really enjoyed it. As long as I don't have to code, I'm happy. :)

This is my first mobile site prototype. I still have to work out some glitches and then make it into desktop size, but I'm pretty stoked.

The wheels on the bus go round and round...say hello to the new Pikes Peak State College bus wrap! Now appearing on two city buses near you. I've never designed a wrap before—it was a lot of fun and REALLY exciting to see in the wild.

Who brought home the gold from the 2022 National Council on Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 4 conference? Pikes Peak State College did!

I am so proud that my rebrand and viewbook earned gold medallion awards. Now onto the national paragon awards!

You know you’ve made it when your gets made into a cake and an ice sculpture. Today was the official launch party for Pikes Peak State College for faculty and staff. The college’s culinary arts program outdid themselves with the decor and food.

Six months of nonstop work and a few panic attacks (okay, a lot of panic attacks) taking this on as a solo designer, and I could not be more proud of the results.

I had so much fun making this beet-tiful (see what I did there? 😉) tee for Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado’s hardworking staff and volunteers.

Also, Office fans: Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.

It’s rainy and chilly here in Colorado today. The weather made me miss Paris, as I think it it looks the very best in the rain. The mist over the Seine and draping the Eiffel Tower is tres romantique.

I was informed today that I've been nominated for the 2022 American Advertising Federation Colorado Local Icon Awards as Designer of the Year. I won several years ago, so maybe second time is a charm as well? 🙂

I appreciate the honor, and wish all nominees the best of luck. Our creative community is seriously kick ass!
