We can’t thank everyone enough that came out for our Heart of Gold Tattoo event to benefit our fallen friend Justin. We have the best clients and support in the area…no question. Everything ran even more smoothly than we could have expected…every single client was a pleasure to work with.…so cheers to all y’all. Another big thanks to Audi and Joe (Shrunken Head Tiki) for their generous donation💛)
HUGE thanks for our support-team Shantell Hayes, Karen Leanne Herr, and especially the homey Peter Deleon for holding things down. And yeah…we’ve gotta give love to our tattooers that busted their asses today to do some cool pieces for a great cause. EVERYONE involved deserves mad love.

Our event for Justin is coming up Sunday at noon. All money raised will go to his fiancée Megan that’s dealt with all the emotional and physical hardships of this situation over the last couple months. To make the event run smoothly…the Heart of Gold team has put some things into place as follows:

Doors open at 12PM sharp. First come first served..show up early!

First 30 clients lined-up/signed-up guaranteed to get tattooed day-of. No guarantees after that. These aren’t tiny pieces and we want to guarantee quality. Again…show up early!

All designs are $100 (CASH-ONLY). No re-sizing, no ‘add-ons’, no ‘bring your owns’. Your choice of black and grey or color of existing designs.

We have 40 designs to choose from. We did our best to have a little something for everyone.

Artists will be assigned in the order you arrive. No guarantee of who you’ll be sat with. No worries…we all know what we’re doing 😉

18+ ONLY with valid ID. No minors. Release-form required for EVERY client…NO exceptions.

We have limited space in the shop. We ask that only those looking to get tattooed be present: no one under 18, no pets, no ‘spectators’, etc….

If you can’t make it in for a tattoo but would still like to donate...a tip-jar will be available in the lobby.

Lastly…please note that we want this to be a fun event to celebrate the life of a fallen homey, and to help raise money for his fiancée to make the situation she’s been dealing with a little bit easier…while also maintaining the high quality of Heart of Gold tattoos that you all have come to expect. Please respect our artists, our shop, and the volunteers that are helping to make this event run as smoothly as possible. Sh*tty attitudes/negativity will be dealt with swiftly and sternly (possibly violently 😂) and we do reserve the right to refuse service if you can’t follow the stuff outlined above or if we reach capacity.

Our good friend Justin Hulsey passed early on the morning of 1/26 after a short but aggressive battle with brain cancer. Justin was a truly sweet soul, a great friend and family man, and a respected tattooer. This was a very unexpected situation for friends and family alike and anyone that ever had the pleasure of Justin’s company will miss him dearly. He leaves behind a loving fiancée and 4 children between them, and we want to help ease their burden the best we can during this trying time.

The Heart of Gold team is organizing a ‘flash day’ to help raise funds for his surviving family. The date will be Sun Feb 26 starting at noon. It will be a walk-in, first-come event. We will have pre-drawn flash designs to choose from and the designs will all be $100. 100% of all money raised from the tattoos/tips/donations will go directly to Justin’s family. As terrible as this situation is…this event is meant to be a celebration of his life, and his love of tattooing that got cut short far too soon.
