“Going into college not knowing anyone can be scary so joining a sorority was always on my mind. I wanted a place that allowed me to be myself and welcomed me with open arms. Through the process something always drew me back to the sigma kappa house. The way the members interacted reminded me of my friends from home and showed me a sisterhood that I wanted to be apart of. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. Honestly the rush process was a lot to handle but once I went sigma kappa it was all worth it! I have found my forever friends and bonds that I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I am so grateful to be able to call sigma kappa my home away from home and my second family!”

“Initially, the idea of college was scary to me. I was coming to Mizzou with a few friends from home, but I knew I wanted to be able to branch out and meet new people. I decided that the best way to do that was through Greek life. During the recruitment process I was very nervous, but every time I went to the SK house I felt so comfortable and welcomed. I chose to join Sigma Kappa because I immediately connected to every girl I spoke to during each round of rush. I loved how every value aligned with mine, how the girls spoke to me with such kindness and truthfulness, and how I could be 100% myself with them. I am so grateful that I decided to rush because being a part of the philanthropy and sisterhood events has allowed me to make so many new memories and meet some of the best girls I now call my sisters. I gained the best family from this sorority and could not have asked for a better experience!”
