Julie Bigham Eggers is a Republican Candiate for the Illinois State Representative 116th District Seat. Julie is the daughter of Stephan and Judy Bigham of Pinckneyville. Her mother Judy currently works in Pinckneyville for Edward Jones, and has spent the past 21 years with the company. Steve, her father, spent nearly three decades in the coal-mining industry where he played an integral part in ma
naging and maintaining jobs in Southern Illinois. Julie is the oldest of 4 children. Julie is greatly influenced by the selfless work of her younger siblings, all of whom work in the fields of education and mental health. Julie is a graduate of Pinckneyville Community High School. Julie earned a degree in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law, graduated with highest honor Summa Cum Laude, in 1993 from Eastern Illinois University. In 1996, Julie obtained her MBA from Southern Illinois University. Immediately thereafter, Julie knew she wanted her career focus to be on creating jobs and fostering lasting business relationships that would ultimately benefit the community. In 2003, Julie expanded her career further into specialized business consulting, and was named the Chief Operations Officer and Director of Sales and Recruiting for a privately held Information Consulting Service Company. Recently Julie was accepted into the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and is a Graduate of The Tuck-WBENC Executive Program, October 7th 2011. Julie has over 20 years of business experience and has spent the past 17 years with a significant focus on acquiring new business, thus creating new job opportunities, in the following sectors: Energy, Manufacturing, Financial, Automotive, Aerospace, Chemical, Bio-Tech, Pharmaceutical, Health Care, Insurance, Medical, Telecommunication, and Transportation. Julie Bigham Eggers and her husband Rick have two daughters, Sophia-6 years old and Cecilia-5 years old. Her family attends Hope Christian Church in Waterloo and currently reside in Columbia.
