Our Seniors are preparing to walk the stage this week at Graduation! We are so proud of all they have accomplished.

Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 30th at the Colonial Life Arena at 4pm. A clear bag policy is in effect.

Sophomore Student Council member Lauren Rice is representing Irmo High School and Irmo StuCo this weekend at the HOBY SC Annual Leadership Seminar, hosted at Presbyterian College! Congratulations, Lauren - we are so proud of you!

New Volleyball Head Coach: Bear Crawford Coach Crawford is a 9th year Special Education Teacher here at Irmo High School. Coach Crawford is a dedicated mother, wife, teacher and sports advocate. Diploma pick up for graduating Seniors will take place June 3-6 from 8 AM to 4 PM in the Magnet Office. Students must bring a picture ID and sign for their diploma. Parents/guardians who are listed in PowerSchool can also pick up their student’s diploma with a picture ID.

DISTRICT NOTICE: Phone service is down districtwide for . Some schools are also experiencing internet connectivity issues. We are working with the provider on a solution. Interested in Irmo Golf? An interest meeting for the Irmo Girls Golf team will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 6pm. Rising 7th-12th graders are eligible to play!

Irmo High School proudly represented the state of South Carolina at the 30th Annual LifeSmarts National Consumer Challenge, held in San Diego, CA from April 18 to 21. Matthew Blocker, Joseph Folding, Graham Matheny, Jayden Widmer, and Jerrado Frazier made up the Irmo High team!

May 6th-10th is Teacher Appreciation Week! Students, take note of the spirit themes each day this week and show appreciation for the teachers of Irmo High School!

Irmo Junior Dylan White is nominated for The State Newspaper's Spring Athlete of the Week! White was 7-for-14 with two doubles and four RBIs. Defensively, the catcher threw out two runners.

The Irmo High Student Council has recently been recognized as a 2024 National Gold Council of Excellence by the National Association of Student Councils (NASC). This is a huge accomplishment due to the level of commitment, service, and leadership the students must show to receive the award for our school! Congratulations, !

We are quickly approaching the end of the school year, so bookmark these dates for Final Exams and EOC Exams! Seniors, please note the earlier dates for your exams.

Do you have any books you are willing to donate? Drop any new or used book in good condition to the Irmo High School main office through April 22nd. Books will be donated to Family Promise of the Midlands who will distribute them to families in need.

We are delighted to announce that Lillian Reaves, an 11th-grade International Baccalaureate student, has won 1st place in the Magnet Schools of America National Student Poster Contest!

In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.

This show is rated G and is open to all audiences. Please note that all tickets are $10, regardless of the theatre patron's age. We appreciate your commitment to arts in education and for supporting Irmo Theatre Company. We can't wait to see you at the show!
