Meet Masha, a brave 2-year-old Sealyham terrier who came to with signs of lower urinary tract disease. Her primary care vet discovered a bladder stone on X-rays, but despite efforts at the stone dissolving with medication, it persisted. Masha then came to CVETS where veterinary internist Dr. Alex Gallagher performed a minimally invasive procedure called endoscopic laser lithotripsy.
This innovative treatment involves using a small camera and laser to break the stones into tiny pieces without the need for incisions. Masha had the procedure on an outpatient basis and was back to her happy self the same day!
Check out the amazing before and after X-rays and see the stone removal in action. If you're curious about this procedure or think it might be right for your pet, don't hesitate to contact us. We're always here to help you and your furry friends. ➡️ cvets.net.
