Wilder Lazo, our coffee maverick, ventured into the world of coffee in 2017 when he lent a hand to his father on a farm nestled in the San Adolfo mountains. Driven by his unwavering passion for coffee and his family’s rich history in the trade, Wilder took a rather distinctive route into the coffee realm.

He didn’t just dip his toes into specialty coffee; he dove right in. Thanks to his genetic expertise and an insatiable appetite for learning, he kickstarted a varietal program.

Introducing Red Rob Qi Dan- our newest Oolong tea 🌱 Red Robe was grown by our friend Mr. Chen and brings unique tasting notes of aloeswood, kabocha squash and orchid ✨

Qi Dan’ was asexually propagated from vaunted Da Hong Pao mother stock and selected for the growing environment of northern Fujian, specifically the Wuyishan Biosphere Reserve.

Picked in April and slow roasted over charcoal beginning in summer The Zhous are experts at evoking Yan Yun (the beautiful, vaporous aftertaste of Yancha) from their teas through mavenly roasting. Be sure to try Red Robe at either of our CRIMSON locations or order it online on crimsoncoffee.com 🤍

Meet Mr. He- our friend and farmer behind our newest black tea, Lao Shan Black 🌱

Lao Shan was produced in Shandong, China and brings tasting notes of sweet potato, pomegranate, melted caramel.

Mount Lao is among the most significant sites in Daosim. This lot was grown in the gardens beneath the mountain range in the northerly Shandong province of China. The decision to grow outdoors (as opposed to hoop houses) challenges the tree but creates a delicious, sweet and layered cup.

While Lao Shan village region focuses almost exclusively on green tea processing, Mr. He’s hybrid oolong rolling and black tea oxidation profile, coupled with an aromatic roasting creates a unique sweet and toasty profile ✨ stop into to any of our CRIMSON locations or order online to try Lao Shan today!🤍
