👩‍🍳 BEHIND THE BEARD - Kelsey! 👩‍🍳

We're back with another employee highlight featuring Kelsey! If you've been to our bakery you've definitely interacted with her at the front counter where she helps our customers and makes everyone feel welcome.

We asked Kelsey a few questions about herself...

How would you describe your role at The Bearded Baker?
"I work at the front counter at the bakery, so I talk to people! I like to bring a positive attitude, tell everybody to have a great day, even if they don’t buy any cheesecake, and laugh at people’s jokes even when they’re not funny. I’m also Kylie’s sister!"

What's your favorite flavor right now?
"Right now I would have to say Carrot Cake for my cheesecake flavor, but the Peanut Butter Butterfinger cookies are my absolute favorite!"

What do you like to do outside of work?
"Outside of work I love hiking, shopping, acting like an influencer on TikTok (find me ) and spending time with my lovely fiancee! I also love listening to music, right now I’m listening to a lot of Caamp, Noah Kahn, and Taylor Swift!"

👩‍🍳 BEHIND THE BEARD - Kylie! 👩‍🍳

Today we're starting a new series of posts where we take some time to focus on the people behind the desserts you all enjoy so much. You might be surprised by how small and mighty our crew is! Today, we're going to focus on Kylie, who's been with TBB since almost the very beginning and has played a HUGE role in getting us to where we are now. She is an extremely hard worker and many of the flavors you've all come to enjoy have come from her creativity and skill!

We asked Kylie a few questions...

How would you describe your role at The Bearded Baker?
"Doing whatever needs done! I help prepare our baking schedules, bake and prepare ingredients, experiment with new flavors, communicate with vendors, deliver cheesecakes to restaurants, and who knows how many other things I could come up with. There’s a lot!"

What's your favorite flavor right now?
"Right now it’s probably Cardamom Vanilla, but it changes all the time."

What do you like to do outside of work?
"Outside of work, I love to hang out with Matt and our dog Larkin, I love trying out new bakeries and restaurants I’ve never been to before, and I love to cook at home! I’m really drawn to hearty, fall-ish foods. I like balancing out what I make at home with what we make in the bakery."

💥 Charlie is back with another special TBB merch drop! He's gone from King Kong to Godzilla and he's taking over Columbus in these new designs!

We created a handful of completely unique, individually dyed tie dye shirts for you guys as well as a decent amount of black t shirts! As with our last drop, we made these completely ourselves using the highest quality blank t shirts we could get our hands on to make sure you enjoy your merch for years to come. The shirts will be sold first come, first serve in our bakery at East Market until they're sold out!

New limited edition merch is finally here! And Charlie is taking over! 🏢🦍

We wanted to do our new swag a little differently this time...Instead of hiring a printer to do a bulk amount of shirts on some cheap blanks that you would probably forget about in a month, we found the highest quality shirts we could, and we designed and printed these ourselves!

The shirts are sustainably produced and made from 100% American grown Supima Cotton, and you'll want to keep yours forever. Supima cotton is typically used by luxury brands because it's SO soft and lasts a very long time. And the print is a true water-based ink screen print, so it feels soft and isn't going to peel off like a vinyl.

Come in the shop to find these new shirts and support your local bakery! And stay tuned cause we have even more coming right around the corner 😎

Happy 4th of July y'all! We hope you're taking today to relax, enjoy time with your loved ones, and hopefully enjoy some good food!

We're taking the day off, we'll see you all back at the shop tomorrow!
