ms is excited to continue supporting the Youngstown State University ASCE Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge Teams! YSU's Concrete Canoe Team ranked 13th nationally at Brigham Young University, while the Steel Bridge Team placed 4th for construction speed at Louisiana Tech University!

On June 24, the ms Columbus office hosted a summer fun event with food trucks, arcade games, and 1-on-1 backyard fun, moved indoors because of weather.

Thanks to everyone who joined in to make this event great! Also thanks to our vendors, Graeter's Ice Cream, Fired Up Pizza, and SuperGames for great food and entertainment!

On July 1st, the Ashtabula County Welcome Center held its ribbon-cutting ceremony! Those in attendance included Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik, and Ohio Department of Transportation Director Jack Marchbanks.

ms is proud to have been the designer of record for this and three other rest areas (2 in Portage County and 1 in Washington County) throughout the great state of Ohio.

Our offices will be closed today, Thursday, July 4, 2024, for the Fourth of July holiday.

This summer's class is off to a great start. Over the next few weeks interns and co-ops will be given opportunities to gain quality experience in their respective fields. Interns and Co-Ops will also have the opportunity to network with one another in a professional yet relaxed atmosphere.

The ms Young Professionals Group volunteered 700+ hours in 2023, serving local communities and giving back to various organizations.

The ms Youngstown office recently celebrated the retirement of their receptionist, Judy Colonna, with some in-office cake and an outing to a local brewery. 🎂

Judy has been an integral part of ms consultants since September 2010 and has always gone above and beyond in her role, ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. Thank you, Judy, for all you've done for us. Happy retirement! 🎉

We are so proud to have been part of the team that worked on the new one-mile section of the Greenway Trail in Lisbon, Ohio, and to have attended the dedication ceremony this past week. 🌳

This new section travels through the streets of Lisbon to connect with the trail off of state Route 164. It extends the length of the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail and brings it much closer to the Ohio River.

ms was recently awarded the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Cuyahoga Valley Section's 2024 Outstanding Highway Award for a project under $5 Million for our work on the Pittsburg Avenue Roundabouts in Stark County.

The pair of roundabouts, designed by ms, offered a solution to the growing traffic congestion and delay problems caused by two closely spaced and offset signalized intersections.

ms recently attended the 34th Annual American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Thomas F. Mosure Memorial Billards Tournament in Canton, Ohio. 🎱

This event is hosted yearly to honor ms' founder, Tom Mosure's life and legacy by bringing people together to do one of his favorite activities: shooting pool. Net proceeds benefit the Michael J. Rehfus Sr. Scholarship Fund, which helps to award scholarships to Civil Engineering students at the University of Akron.
