This is immediately after her brow & eyeliner procedure. She had very little of her own brow hair, so we gave her Combo brows with our advanced Digital Microblading technique and soft shading. To create this look we did Nano hair strokes then did some soft shading to blend everything together, giving a natural and realistic look. No one will know she’s had her brows done unless she tells them. 🙌 Next we gave her some shaded eyeliner.

✨ This is why I absolutely love what I do and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I just love the happy, bright expression in her after picture- straight out of bed! This makes my heart happy. 🥰

No lipstick - she is just wearing chapstick for hydration. She had some areas that needed some additional color, but for one session her lip color healed fabulous!

She came in for maintenance looking like this. 😍 This is permanent brows and eyeliner color aging gracefully. 💃🏻 She and her friend drive 3 hours to come see me. I originally did her brows and eyeliner in 2013, ten years ago. She comes in for maintenance to have her color refreshed every few years.

Three to five years is the average time when maintenance to the color is needed. At this time, the color is normally still there but just needs to be darkened or brightened. ✨

She now gets to wake up with a brighter, more defined face. Instead of penciling on brows every day, she gets to focus on doing more of the things she loves and being more carefree knowing her brows always look great.

Yes, this is a cosmetic tattoo. But when done correctly, it can still look so natural that no one will know. For color to last longer than just a few weeks, it has to be implanted in the dermal layer of the skin or else it would just fade in less than one month. Color implanted in the dermal layer is a tattoo. (BTW, Microblading is a tattoo.)

Microblading=tattooing=Permanent Cosmetics=tattooing

It’s all the same thing. It’s the artist doing the work that makes all the difference.

All colors in the skin fade to some degree. The skin on the face is thinner and exposed to UV light more often, so it can experience more fading when compared to the body. We also generally use softer colors, which fade faster as well. We generally suggest maintenance visits every few years.

The difference here is that we are using soft techniques implanting small amounts of color to just enhance her brows to a nice frame for her face. The end result is you getting to wake up feeling like your eyes are more defined and naturally beautiful without having to do anything.

🥰 Have your lips lost color around the vermillion border (lip line)? Notice how her lower lip looks smaller and uneven on one side? This is mainly due to color loss that can happen naturally over time. We were able to make her lips appear fuller and more symmetrical just by reinforcing her natural lip line. She is slightly swollen now, but that usually disappears after a day or two. Her lip color will also soften about 50% during healing to a soft, natural blush color.

Did you know that this is cosmetic tattoo? Did you know that Microblading is a tattoo? I know you may have heard Microblading is not a tattoo, but that is very misleading information. Please be educated and know the facts. Microblading=tattooing=Permanent Cosmetics
It’s all the same thing. It’s the artist doing the work that makes all the difference. The artist can deliver a soft, natural result or they can pack in color for a harsh look, no matter what technique is used. Please do your research when choosing your artist.

For color to last on the skin, it has to be implanted in the upper dermal layer of the skin or else it would just exfoliate away within a few weeks. Color implanted in the dermal layer is a tattoo. This includes Microblading. Any color applied above the dermis (epidermis) would just fade away in less than a month.

When done correctly, it can look so natural that no one will know. The benefit is that you get to wake up every day with brighter eyes (and lips) and no daily effort or smudges!

The difference in the eyeliner shown here giving the effect of cosmetics versus a flat line is that we are using three colors to allow the eyeliner to transition from dark in the lash line to a gentle fade of a softer color that closely resembles traditional makeup. The end result is you getting to wake up feeling like your eyes are more defined and naturally beautiful without having to do anything.

Attending the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) 31st annual Convention. Originally planned for Orlando, this event shifted to a Virtual convention for everyone’s safety. A group of us got together in Tulsa and are on Day 3 of our Virtual Watch Party. This way we are still able to network and collaborate in exchanging ideas. ✨ “I feel like I’ve been restored.” That is what this sweet lady told me when she walked in today for her touch up. ✨

We did nano hair strokes with slight shading to help replace brow color lost through Alopecia (hair loss).

Our strategy is to be conservative with shape and color, especially during the first session. We can always go thicker and/or darker during the touch up. Everyone heals differently, so this helps a great deal for the best long term result. During her touch up, we decided to go a bit thicker and did more shading in the areas with more hair loss. Any redness in the After picture will disappear during healing.

💕 She brought tears to my eyes as she was leaving today and said, “I believe that God gives us a talent - this is yours and you have certainly blessed me.” 💕🥹 😍 This is why I love what I do so very much! I have the absolute best clients! 🥰
