Jeff Smith Appearance in Cleveland October 19th!

Jeff will be visiting Cleveland next Saturday, October 19th - first with a teen writers workshop at the Lee Rd Library Branch at 4pm. Registration required. At 7pm there will be a presentation at the Heights High School Auditorium, followed by a signing. We hope you can join us!

The 10th Anniversary of CXC begins! Tune into Fox 28 Columbus Wednesday at 9:30am to see Jeff live in studio talking about this years show and all of the wonderful guests and programs to see!

The Ringo Award winners were announced this past weekend, with Jeff winning Best Cartoonist and More Tall Tales winning Best Humor Comic! Congratulations to everyone nominated!!

Check Out This New Rocketeer Kickstarter!

Our friends Billy and Deborah Tucci have just launched their latest Kickstarter, the Rocketeer: Pavlichenko Special Art Edition and we hope you check it out.

Working alongside The Rocketeer Trust, The 21-day campaign kicked off, Rocketeer: Pavlichenko Special Art Edition! featuring Tucci’s the original story that appeared the Eisner Award winning in Comic For Ukraine: Sunflower Seeds, plus pages of never-before published concept artwork, including rough layouts, pencils, inks, and script.

In Rocketeer: Pavlichenko, our hero, Cliff Secord, encounters the real-life, Ukrainian sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko in the Crimean Mountains during World War II. Lyudmila was credited with over 300 kills during World War II, making her the most successful female sniper in recorded history and as you’ll find out, she is going to have to put all those skills to the test to save our hero.

The 32-page full-color art special also explores just who this extraordinary young Ukrainian woman was and pays tribute the Rocketeer’s legendary creator, Dave Stevens.

Jeff Appearance in Cleveland at Heights Library October 19th!

Jeff will be visiting the Cleveland Heights area on Saturday October 19th for a presentation and signing at the Heights High School Auditorium beginning at 7pm. September 11, 2001, Jeff and Vijaya had just arrived in Norway for a comics festival in Bergen. Illustrating the experience of what it was like to be far from home that day, these original art pieces were donated to the "9-11: Emergency Relief" graphic novel which was a fundraiser for the American Red Cross.

Shopping for Superman on Kickstarter! Check it Out!

Filmmaker Wes Eastin recently interviewed Jeff for his documentary "Shopping for Superman" which is a love letter to comic shops and is now crowdfunding on Kickstarter. This is an incredibly worthwhile project, so please check it out and spread the word!
