Klay’s funeral will be held at New Providence Baptist Church on Sunday, February 19th at 2:00 P.M, graveside.

Trent and I have not seen Ga, our friends and a lot of our family in almost 6 months. We invite ALL of you to come. For those in Thomasville and surrounding counties that would like to come, the address is below.

First off Trent and I would like to tell each and everyone of you THANK YOU. Thank you for your love, support, encouraging words, and prayers y’all showed us during this journey. Our precious miracle heart warrior Klay gained her Angel wings this morning, and how fitting it was on heart day (Valentine’s Day). 💕We exhausted all efforts and did everything we could but her little body was tired and she was ready to go. She served her purpose and she did more in 5 weeks of her life than most people do in 100 years. The 5 weeks Trent and I had with her were the best 5 weeks of our entire life. She was our world, and she was so beautiful, funny and full of personality. She was definitely her daddy’s child. 😉 She was the strongest little thing I have ever seen. She left this world in my arms, and she immediately went into the arms of Jesus. She left this world knowing one thing and that was LOVE and I will forever cherish and be so grateful for that. We are at peace knowing our little girl is in the arms of Jesus and is completely healed. It gives us so much peace that this wasn’t a goodbye, Klay, it was a see you again for eternity my sweet Angel. 💕 What a blessing that is to know!

In leiu of a celebratory FB live we decided to let our honorary raffle ticket picker, Emma, pick and we took pictures. The Winner of the Raffle is Gina Arnold. Thank you all so much for buying tickets and making donations. We raised $920! We ask that you continue to keep the Dews family in your prayers. I have shared the obituary of Baby Klay. You can see it and they ask for donations to the hospital in lieu of flowers. I will share it again. Thanks again for your generous support.

Hanna & Trent Dews welcomed their precious baby girl, Klay on January 10, 2023. Sweet Klay is such a fighter and has a long journey ahead of her. Here is a small piece of her story:
“ At our 20 week checkup the Dr. found an abnormality in the heart and referred us to a specialist. While at the specialist, we found out she had a rare condition in which she shared blood vessels with an acardiac twin (we thought the twin would go away after it did not develop). With this, klay was keeping two bodies alive. We had to fly to Houston Texas to have an emergency in utero surgery to cut blood supply to the acardiac “mass” to save Klay. After the surgery, Klay developed hydrops - fluid from her heart spread to her stomach. We had to be closely monitored and found out she had a heart condition called truncus arteriosis with an interrupted aortic arch, and vsd (hole in heart). We had to stay in Houston until delivery on January 10th. Klay had a 14 hour open heart surgery at 1 week old to reconstruct her heart. The invasive nature of the surgery caused a pulmonary hemorrhage where she lost a lot of blood and her lungs took a big hit. She has slowly been improving and doing well. She will have more surgeries as she grows. We just ask for all the prayers and that she continues to heal and God continues to work miracles through her. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the prayers and donations that have taken a huge burden off of us! “

This precious family has a long journey ahead as they support Klay through the next steps in her healing process. First and foremost, they needs our prayers! Prayers for Klay to progress in her healing and to defy any odds set against her. Additionally, throughout this journey the medical expenses are going to pile up. So let’s rally around this family and support them with our prayers and any donations we can!

Who's up for some good news??? I am planning my return to Kerry Mac!! I will be starting in Part time April 6th through the rest of that month. I should be back in full time in May. Please be patient in booking as I am able to my job, just not with the stamina I used to have... Yet! I have missed my clients & coworkers so much! Hi friends, family & clients: I share this to let you know that as of today Kerry Mac will be closing til the end of next week. This is a hard decision but after getting information first hand in Columbus, we are not prepared for testing. As the owner, I feel we have no choice but to do what we feel is right in trying to participate with suggested closings. I'm sorry as I know this will put your hair in a sad state, it will also effect our staff as we are independent businesses. But as of now, we plan to re-open Tuesday, March 31st. We will be available by phone during this time, and hope you understand and consider doing the same. We are a close knit community and already have confirmed cases here.
