As the sun sets on summer and we prepare to embrace the rich tapestry of fall, I can’t help but feel inspired by the stunning beauty that Ohio has to offer. 🌅 Dawes Arboretum is one of my absolute favorite spots to capture those magical moments, especially for engagement sessions! The vibrant greens of summer are still holding on just a bit, and it's the perfect backdrop for couples to celebrate their love before the leaves start to change.

Happy 4th of July!! Don't mind us as we are out celebrating our FREEDOM with our family today! Grilling out some hotdogs, eating lots of chips and salsa and of course some watermelon! We have a fun day of hanging out and swimming in the pool. We are seeing fireworks tonight and it is going to be AMAZING! I hope you are enjoying your 4th of July and your freedom! Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve for the U.S.A!

We got chickens!! I sent this photo to Scott this morning and told him that... I think he had a mini heart attack hehe. Happy April fools day!! Sadly, I did not pick up baby chicks this morning... we used to have chickens back before Scott and I ever met. I want to get chickens again soon - but this year, we are travelling too much to have it make sense to get chickens. So, I will wait another year until these cute little chicks make their appearance... just wait till March 2022, hehe. Adios March! One day closer to warmer weather and our spring weddings!! March is always a STRUGGLE for me. It isn't exactly winter, but it also does not fully feel like spring yet. Such a confusing month! We normally do not have many weddings between Jan-March, so there is also a nice time to break and recharge before we hit the ground running with weddings in April. Who is ready for weddings? It feels like FOREVER since we have had a wedding, and I am so happy to start next month and start our 2021 wedding schedule! It is full of beautiful 2020 couples who postponed and gorgeous 2021 couples who are just as excited to get married!!! Groom detail love. The guys never get as much love on IG as they should and neither do their details. I always LOVE to look through Scott's photos after a wedding day to see what he photographed. It is a very rare wedding day when Scott and I are shooting the details at the same time and are able to use the same backgrounds and concepts. I love to see what backgrounds he picks as a guy and how he lays everything out.

I dried some pampas grass from the yard for a fall decor idea and I can not wait! It screams beach to me but also works so well as a transition piece into fall decor without going full-blown pumpkinland. Scott is super excited to have them in the house 😂

We are getting into the full swing of fall over here. These days of beautiful September weather is giving us all the feels. We decorated the entire house this past weekend and the kids are in love with the decor! Alright, more like just Wyatt since Lily has no idea what is going on. Wyatt was so excited to help put ghosts and pumpkins all over the house. Before kids I may have put 1 or 2 pumpkins out and that would be it.... now it’s all the pumpkins! How gorgeous is Kelly and Mathew? Another beautiful photo from their wedding day!

It feels so good to be back to photographing weddings. I was kind of floundering the past couple months because my entire life I have been creative. In high school I took every art class possible. College I had art and design classes all the time... hello multiple 3 hr studio classes 3 times a week. from 2007 onwards I had my photography business. This whole spring and summer has been so strange to not be creating something and not producing beautiful work. I really didn't know HOW much I was missing being creative until we were back to photographing weddings. Our schedule for the fall and winter is not as busy as it normally is but I am joyful and thankful for the weddings we have.
