One goal of raising children is to help them become increasingly responsible and independent as they age, and one of those developmental milestones on the path to independence is dating.

We come together in prayer for our teens and preteens, asking that God opens their hearts to the wisdom and logic of postponing s*x until marriage. May they understand the value of waiting and the beauty of commitment.

We also pray for the rising voices of teens who embrace and share this message, inspiring their peers to make thoughtful and respectful choices.

The All Pro Dad program is coming to a close for this school year. Dads and their kids at six schools focused on one another and strengthened their bonds. Thank you to the volunteers who made it possible at Britt David, Clubview, J.D. Davis, Lonnie Jackson, Reese Road, and St. Luke.

Our Fatherhood Initiative director, Herman Ivey, is equipping men and boys for Christ-centered living, marriage, and fatherhood with Right from the Start’s newest program - Manhood Columbus.

Through partnerships with organizations such as Men Act This Way, Valley Rescue Mission, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, Manhood Columbus adds value to existing and emerging classes and programs designed to promote and educate the role of fathers in families.

Manhood Columbus Manhood Columbus is a Fatherhood Initiative program of Right From The Start, a 501(c)3 non-profit, in Columbus, Georgia.

We enjoyed a Saturday focused on great relationships with families at Friendship Baptist Church on March 16.

Please continue to pray for unity throughout Columbus as we work together to solve the issues that tear at the foundation of the family, and cause poverty and violence.
