Wood blocks are such a classic toy! Emma has been playing with hers at least weekly for the last six years. @unclegoose makes these sustainably in Michigan- the designs and quality are so great! Her kids will love playing with them someday too!

I’m so grateful for all the beautiful objects that exist in this space. When my first was born I had resigned to having a house full of ugly baby stuff because I thought that is just what baby stuff was. During late night nursing sessions I started doing a lot of searching for better. Better designs and better materials and better environmental and employee practices.. and this whole WORLD opened up that I didn’t know existed. Putting my baby in clothes that I loved and giving her toys that were engaging and beautiful made me feel more like myself, more like I could be a parent while still being a person. You can’t shop away postpartum depression and certainly the stuff you buy has so little to do with raising a child.. but for me, these little things have brought a lot of joy. For me, some of these things made life just a little easier during a difficult time. And I love sharing them! I’m really lucky that scrolling on my phone (though, this was before Instagram was used that way- this was tooth and nail google researching 🤣) led me here!
After almost a year, rainbow makers are FINALLY back in stock!! 🌈 ✨They are total magic and make such a unique gift that everyone from newborns to grandparents loves. They suction to the window and use solar power to rotate a crystal that will throw rainbows all over the room. Honesty the best part is that they only work in direct sunlight meaning they only spin for about an hour or so on sunny days. You can’t make it happen, they just appear when they do. I have had two in my house for years and they still makes me happy every time I’m in a room with one.
