Thank you for partnering with us to bring Hope and Joy this Christmas season. I am delighted that together we were able to make Christmas special for so many children and their families. Some of these kids might not have had presents to open if it weren't for your generous donations. Thank you so much to everyone who helped support the Burgess House this Christmas season! Together we gave presents to 50 children, 10 turkeys, and supplied Christmas trees and decorations to 3 amazing families.
Happy 1 YEAR anniversary Burgess House of Hope!!! I can not believe it’s already been a whole year. Seems just like yesterday when Amber and I were sitting on my back patio talking, praying, and birthing the idea of how to bring love to the children in the city! August 12, 2020 was the day the vision/birthing process began. We knew that 2020 was a hard year and brought a lot of obstacles. As school’s were closing, I knew we “The Church” needed to rise up. This was our time to show the world LOVE! Our hearts were to bring HOPE to these children and their families. To be their rock, a place of peace, to help however we could! We didn’t know what it was going to look like. We didn’t have any grand plans or ideas just a huge heart. An opportunity presented itself that we could use a residential home on Burgess Ave however we wanted! We began by just going down and loving our neighbors. It’s amazing to see what love can do. In the past 12 month we have loved so many, and we have had the honor to help so many children and their families. I can tell you we never dreamed it would have turned into a full time ministry serving so many people. It’s amazing to see what God can do with just a simple YES! I am still blown away of what all we have accomplished these past 12 months. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey, vision, and dream! We couldn’t have done it without all your support!!! I am beyond excited to see what all He will do through Burgess House in this next year!
