It was a special day remembering Skip Thielen our beloved judge, mentor and friend. Today we awarded the first annual Skip Thielan Spirit Award. Skip’s was an AKC judge that spent 25 years with the 4-H Dog Program and Ohio State Fair Jr Dog Show helping to make lthe best better. He wanted to raise the bar in 4-H dog showmanship to an AKC level. He saw talent in 4-H exhibitors and knew they would rise to the challenge.

Yesterday showmanship competitors were evaluated throughout the day. One was chosen that best exemplified Skip’s poise, professionalism, courtesy, sportsmanship, love of dogs and the sport of showing.

Congratulation to Keegan Linden of Medina County for embodying so many of the traits that made Skip special. Couldn’t think of a better person for this honor!!

A whole lot of amazing right here!!! Thank you Ohio Township Association and Luvakis Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Memory of Bro for sponsoring awards for these outstanding handlers!!!
