It’s been one heck of a year with this property. 😅 when I tell you I’m happy to get this baby closed you don’t even know how glad I really am! I’ve learned more about Life Estates, Wills, Common Law Marriage, Heirships, the VA and selling mobile homes than I thought imagined. Credit scores are often the elephant in the room when it comes to finances. But guess what—you don’t have to have a perfect credit score to get a house. In fact, you don’t even have to be close.
Some loans like the FHA or VA loan will accept credit scores as low as 500.
And if you’re not quite there, here’s how you can boost your credit score.
-Pay your bills ON TIME. This is critical. Extra credit for setting up autopay!
-Pay down your credit cards as much as you can. Don’t focus as much on long-term loans like student loans.
-Make sure your credit balance isn’t more than 30% of your limit.
Put a bit of effort into boosting your credit score, and you’ll see results. And you’ll get a lower interest rate on your mortgage!
