When people come to our shelter, they don’t only receive a bed and a meal. In addition to three hot meals a day, residents meet with case managers to help them overcome their barriers to permanent housing. We also have a health center, employment resource center and other services designed to help people get back on their feet and stay there!

Diana is a resident of our Faith Mission of Fairfield County shelter. When entering shelter, she shared the previous day was her birthday and it had been a terrible day left alone on the streets. But once at our shelter, she was all smiles playing her favorite game, bingo. It brought back memories of playing with her mom growing up. She told staff how blessed she was to have our help. She said, “I want the world to know that if you have lost faith and hope to come here and you will find it again.”

"When I first arrived at the Medical Respite, I was very overwhelmed with my current situation. I made mistakes that led to my homelessness, and I was very honest and open about what had transpired. Despite my mistakes and flaws, Medical Respite staff showed no judgement and were so welcoming and helpful. They gave me the tools and knowledge I needed. I’m very proud to say that I received my keys to my new apartment." - Jeff, The Medical Respite at Faith Mission patient
