Our department offers patients the latest examination and diagnostic techniques, and medical and surgical treatments. Services range from routine eye examinations and contact lens fitting to the most up-to-date laser and surgical treatments for such major diseases as glaucoma, diabetic eye diseases, retinal detachments and diseases, macular degeneration, and cataracts, as well as the
June 19, 1865 - the day freedom reached Galveston, Texas, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation from Pres. Lincoln, marking a pivotal moment in American history.
All of our Ophthalmology clinics will be closed in observance.

Thank you to all who attended our Jacob Moses, MD Lectureship series, celebrating Dr. Moses' legacy and fostering community spirit. The event focuses on clinical education, with students and ophthalmologists. We learned from Dr. Elaine Binkley, sharing insights on overcoming clinic challenges.
Thank you to The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) and partners including the city of Columbus, Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium are partnering to collect these used but undamaged eclipse glasses for reuse. Through a partnership with Solar Eclipse USA the glasses collected from central Ohio will be sent to schools in Latin America and distributed to school-aged children so they can view the October 2024 Annular Eclipse.
