Fergus is the best boy & needs a foster
We don’t know why, but Fergus STILL needs a foster! We’ve shared this cute boy several times, yet he still needs a foster. Fergus is a volunteer favorite, and one of them created this great video of Fergus. Thanks, Jocelyn! He went on a sleepover and was such a good boy. He’s respectful in the house, is housebroken, and loves to snuggle! What more could we ask for?!
Fergus arrived at the shelter as an extremely skinny stray. He is about eight years old and a pittie mix. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with heartworm disease during his medical exam at the shelter. Friends of the Shelter is paying for his treatment which will last for about another month.
Fergus would love to have a foster home while he’s going through his treatment. The treatment can be painful and he would love a family to give him some TLC.
If you’d like to meet Fergus and consider fostering him, please reach out to [email protected]. He would love to have your help getting through his treatment!

Foster home needed!~ Check out this adorable video! Beau is still looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home asap! As you can see, he will do well in a home with kitties, too! This little cutie is about 4 years old and came in with a terrible decaying wound from what looks to be a dog bite that wasn't treated. Friends of the Shelter funded his emergency surgery with SOS of Ohio to put Beau back together. If you would like to meet Beau to foster him, please reach out to [email protected].
The volunteers spent all day getting the Franklin County Dog Shelter Community Room ready for you to shop at the Howliday Bazaar tomorrow, Saturday, from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. Janet gives you a preview of all the great stuff in this video. See you there!
Still urgently looking for one foster for a parvo pup! This video shows the other two siblings in their new foster home. You can tell they’re feeling so much better than they were in the photos from their arrival! If you can help by fostering a puppy (it looks like the little all brown one here), please reach out to [email protected]. Thank you! ❤️❤️
PupArt is starting now! We welcome you to the event and encourage you to visit https://friendsoftheshelter.cbo.io to see a great intro video, register to bid, and start bidding! Thanks and have fun!
Meet Patsy! In this video, Dr Yurick explains that Patsy has a heart murmur and a pelvic fracture. She’s needs a loving and stable home to be in for the next 4-6 weeks. While a foster-to-adopt home would be ideal, we’re also interested in foster homes so she doesn’t grow up in the shelter. She would also benefit from some basic training since she’s a puppy. Interested in fostering Patsy? Please email [email protected]. Thanks!! ❤️
We introduced you to Nelly earlier this week. Now, we're ideally looking for a foster-to-adopt home for this cutie. This scared girl arrived at the shelter late last week with a badly broken femur. After a consult with MedVet, thanks to your support, we learned that Nelly's leg couldn't be saved, so she had an amputation at the shelter this week. In this video, Dr Yurick from SOS of Ohio Spay and Neuter Clinic gives an update on Nelly at Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. If you're interested in fostering to adopt (or just fostering), please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
