The best feeling.

If you've ever wondered what our book return looks like after one day of being closed...
No water=no service at Tremont. The Tremont Road Branch will be closed on Tuesday, July 30, but our Lane Road and Miller Park Branches will be open. Meetings and programs at the Tremont Road Branch have been canceled.

Shout out to our libraries who provide so many community activities and gathering spaces during the summer months -- along with wonderful air conditioning! From the 1940s to 1967, our library was part of the Grandview system. This plaque at the Tremont main branch commemorates the establishment of our independent UA library system in December of 1967.
Brian Holland led us in an alphabet rap at Miller Park today!
Our "Adventure Begins at Your Library" Summer Reading Program ends two weeks from today. Need help finding the perfect book? Our librarians are always ready with a suggestion!
Today kids got a taste of pioneer-era work and play at the Child's Homestead program at the Lane Road Branch.

Construction is still underway on Lane Road but there is some parking in the park and on Woodbridge.
Our Lane Road Branch will be closed for the rest of today, July 10, as it is inaccessible due to road construction on Lane Road. We will check on the work's progress tomorrow morning to determine if the branch will reopen.
Donate your good-condition art, paintings, sculptures, figurines, mirrors, posters and frames to the Friends of the UAPL. Contribute during a drive-up donation event on Saturday, July 20 from 12-2 p.m. in the Tremont Road Branch's parking lot, or drop off donations on the carts near the Friends bookstore any time. Donated items will be sold at a special art sale held August 4-25.
We now have earbuds and 4G flash drives available for sale at each branch. Great for when you need to use one of our workstations!
We’re looking for adult volunteers to help our programs run smoothly! We have many flexible opportunities to help with program check-in. It’s a great way to experience the wonderful events we offer, and help others do the same. Also, this fall we’ll need dedicated weekly volunteers to converse with ESL (English as a Second Language) students on Tuesday mornings (Tremont) and Tuesday afternoons (Lane Road). Interested? Fill out an application at https://www.volgistics.com/appform/577518693 and check “English Conversation Leader” or “Help at Library Programs.” Our volunteer coordinator will get in touch and give you all the details.
If you have unused school supplies, or need them, be sure to take part in the School Supply Free-Cycle at our Lane Road Branch. Drop off your new school supplies any time this month. From August 5-11, we'll have all the donated supplies on a table available free to anyone who needs them.
Our Columbus Dispatch and Access World News databases are experiencing internal technical issues, and the vendor is diligently working to restore missing content. New issues for July 2024 will be loaded as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
Ready for the parade!
Nearly 200 people visited Miller Park for RMT's Songs of America concert last night. It has become another UA 4th of July tradition!
We're closed tomorrow, but look for us in the UA Parade!
Have you seen the adorable painted windows in our Youth Department? We can totally imagine having a camping adventure in that tent by that lake!
