“Tony Scott: Maestro of Mayhem!” concludes TONIGHT with The Last Boy Scout (1991) starring Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans, and Halle Berry.
Willis is Joe Hallenbeck, a disgraced Secret Service agent turned private eye. Wayans is Jimmy Dix, a former quarterback who washed out of professional football and pops pills to forget the pain he’s in. When a murder forces the two men to team up, they discover a deadly conspiracy involving corrupt politicians, st*****rs, blackmail, sports gambling, and more. Written by Shane Black (creator of Lethal Weapon), The Last Boy Scout stands as one of the great neo-noirs, featuring terrific performances from Willis and Wayans, amazing stunt work, a killer sense of humor, and gorgeous cinematography that captures Los Angeles in all its beautiful, seedy glory.
