Another thing I don’t know for certain is how to tackle all of the darkness in the world. When we talk about light overcoming dark, good overcoming evil.. it feels so overwhelming because there are countless examples of darkness running rampant. But even in the midst of that confusion, one thing I do know for certain is that love and light have to be part of the answer. And love and light matter, because there are also countless examples where good is thriving in this world.

2024 has me reflecting on what love and light mean to me.

Kindness is so underestimated. Being kind to a stranger you pass, a friend who is in need, or literally anyone you connect with in your day is important and valuable. Will any of these small acts of kindness I do solve all the worlds big problems? Probably not. But does that mean they don’t matter? That can’t be right. We have to value kindness. All of it matters.

Love and light are infinite when we are a collective, but individually no one has enough light to shine on everything or everyone. But that doesn’t mean we should succumb to darkness and do its bidding. Perhaps that divisive behavior is exactly what darkness wants? 💜

Wedding First look Photo Tip:

As wedding photographers, we always like to start the portrait session with the first look in a quiet spot. It’s a short part of the portraits (10-15 minutes) that can be packed with emotion.

Sometimes the emotions are sentimental other times it’s goofy and full of laughter…we don’t direct emotions during these moments.

We merely just set the stage for your personality to unfold on camera!

The best thing to do in order to get comfortable in front of the camera is to focus on each other and what you want to say to each other for the first look.

Posted • Being a wedding photographer is one thing. Being a Desi wedding photographer is a totally different ball game.

For an average American wedding, it’s about 8 hours in one day and then you’re done. For a Desi wedding, it’s 3 days (sometimes more) of stunning colors, high energy, and 500 of your closest friends and family.

While this wedding was unlike any other wedding I’ve photographed, it was also one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. From the incredibly unique traditions to the excitement that came from every single person in the room, this event was elaborate, high-paced, and overwhelming in the best possible way.

With so much going on at one time, became the king of candid and unplanned shots. The 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, and 9th images of this carousel were all captured by his beautiful eye and arguably became my favorite photos from the day.

When I talk to potential brides, the second photographer is always asked about. And this wedding is the perfect example of why they are important. These stunning images would have simply been missed had he not been my right-hand man during these events. And for that, I cannot thank him enough.

Now onto my lovely couple! .bk and , from the bottom of my heart, thank you for choosing us to capture your big day(s). This experience is one that neither of us will ever forget and we had so much fun joking with your friends and family. So much so that I fully expect to be invited to the next shindig 😂 But in all seriousness, I adore you both and I wish you a lifetime of romantic dances, happy tears, and undeniable happiness ♥️

Last weekend, as the sun shone high in the sky and a gentle breeze blew across the Gazebo at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes. My two friends—who I often still picture as their 20 year-old selves—took the ultimate step when it comes to love; they made their vows in front of 180 family and friends on a perfect Saturday in fall and sealed it with a kiss. This picture embodies the amazing privilege, serenity and joy. Love is not a wall; it is a bridge. Love does not confine; it sets you free. It leads, as a pathway, winding, to places unknown and mysterious. With love to light the way, you can meet any challenge, together.
