Barely two days away and we are FEELIN the excitement! 🏅🏅🏅 Enjoy these #capcityhalf course tips and stay tuned 📻 for additional info before, during, and after the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon: ⏰ ARRIVE EARLY! Take the stress out of your race day and get to the event early! You’re coming to the same place, at the same time as thousands of fellow runners and walkers. Plan ahead and get there early! 🙋🏻‍♀️If you need to slow down or walk, move to the side or raise your hand to notify the people behind you of the change of pace. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️If running or walking with a group, do not be more than 2-3 people wide to allow others to pass. 💧When passing through a fueling station, do not come to a screeching halt once you receive the fuel - keep moving forward for the people behind you. 🎧Don't have your headphones up so loud you can't hear people around you who might be trying to get your attention. Stay alert & enjoy the course entertainment! 🔤 Pay attention to your corral. You can move to a corral further back but you cannot move up in corrals. If you are walking, plan to start futher back in your corral. 🎽Wear your bib on the front of your shirt. It helps with corral checks & to make sure you get you get your race pictures! 🧣When shedding layers, try to gradually work toward the sidelines to keep them off the course. 👟Don't get too close to people you are trying to pass, you might clip their shoes and trip them.
