Originally from Westerville, Ohio, Jennifer Nicole MurrayJennifer Murray graduated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015. Her paintings, often featuring self-portraits, friends, and detritus, allow the viewer a glimpse into her world while blocking off any real context or explanation, thereby questioning her role in observing and being observed. Now sober and an active participant in her own recovery, she uses her art practice as a tool for rediscovering her identity. This fall, she will begin an MFA program in painting at The Ohio State University. She currently lives and works in Columbus, OH.
