October 24, 2023 NHDOT Rte 202 Bridge replacement over Contoocook River Peterborough. Project Superintendent Mike Desroches, Foreman Craig Moses, Pile Foreman Joe Symonds, Foreman Curtis LaBrecque and Junior Engineer Nick LaBrecque leading the E.D. Swett family members in setting the 66Ft long, 15,550 Lb "B" girders manufactured by Casco Bay Steel, on prefect fall day. Excellent team work by all the men in our family. Done smoothly and safely. Nice work.

October 23, 2023 NHDOT Rte 202 Bridge Replacement over Contoocook River Peterborough. Project Superintendent Mike Desroches, Senior Engineer Jon Coulp-Yu, Junior Engineer Nick LaBrecque, President Chris Robert and E.D. Swett family members setting the "A" girders in place this am. Each of the 4 girders weight 27,000 Lbs +, 115ft + in length, and 3' + deep. Utilizing our Linkbelt 218 110 Ton Crawler Crane and Astro Crane Rentals Grove GMK5135 110 Ton Hydraulic Crane, it was a perfect set. Nicely done by everyone involved in the setting process and Casco Bay Steel for providing/manufacturing a perfect set of matched girders.

October 18, 2023 Tully Brook Road Bridge replacement Richmond.
Project Foreman Craig Moses, craftsmen Rick Griffin, Ed Coulstring, Kyle McFetridge, and Joshua Stanford finished up the final touches and opened the temporary bridge and detour road to traffic. Excellent work.

October 17, 2023 Island Street Bridge Replacement. The Prime Contractor for this project, BUR Construction, has the existing Abutment B excavated and ready for us to start the demo. Nice work

October 17, 2023 NHDOT Rte 202 Bridge replacement over Contoocook River Peterborough. Project Superintendent Mike Desroches, Foremen Curtis LaBrecque, operator Jim Conway and craftsmen Ethan Faucher attach safety lines on the first 4 "A" girders delivered today by Casco Bay Steel. Each girder is 115' +/- and weights 27,400 Lbs +/-.

We are pleased to announce that Project Foreman Lon Collins, craftsmen Derek Boynton and Nate Puluti completed the balance of all ED Swett's work today. All of us here at ED Swett thank Weaver Brothers Construction for selecting us to construct this bridge for them.

September 25, 2023 NHDOT Rte 4 Danbury. Pile Foreman Joe Symonds, craftsmen Ed Coulstring and Vic Davis demo existing bridge. The existing steel structure was so badly deteriorated we did not feel safe to hoe ram the concrete deck off prior to demolition, so with the assistance of Weaver Brothers excavators and calculations by our senior engineer Jon Coulp-Yu PE, we pulled the bridge down. Wow. Excellent work by everyone.

Overhead power lines, river and structures make this a tough task. Excellent work by these gentlemen.

September 20, 2023 Tully Brook Road Bridge Replacement Richmond. Project Foreman Craig Moses and operator Derek Baldwin completed the clearing and grubbing, set the temporary bridge base foundations on each side of the brook and created the pad to allow us to move our 138 Linkbelt Crawler crane into position to set the temporary bridge beams. Nice work.

First: clear and grub temporary diversion road and construct the temporary bridge, moving traffic off of the existing culvert, so we can begin constructing the new bridge.

September 12, 2023 NHDOT I-89 Northbound Bridge Rehabilitation at Exit 19 Lebanon over Rte 4. Wow, what a difference a 9 hour day makes. These guys are cranking out the work.

Because accidents do happen .....As you travel throughout our great state of NH, please do not get frustrated, angry, and vocal because contractors working in the roadways may have lane shifts, detours, and one-lane traffic patterns...all to keep the traveling public safe and our employees/family members and engineers out of harms way...because accidents do happen. Patience Please for it is all done for the good.
