Here is a flashback photo of Concord farmers at Massachusetts Agriculture Day at the State House, sometime in the 1990s. The Arena, Giurleo and Verrill families from Concord are pictured representing local farmers to our legislators! They also are shown here enjoying the hard cider served at the event as well...

Both fall leaves on the trees and poinsettia stems in our greenhouses are changing color this week! We are growing 10,000 poinsettias in different sizes and colors in our greenhouses for our garden center, other florist shops and different fund raising groups. As a reminder, according to the Poison Control Center, poinsettias are NOT toxic to humans or pets!

One of our long time customers ordered this striking, six stem orchid planter for his wife to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary today. What a great way to recognize such an accomplishment for them!

We love October- pumpkins everywhere! There is so much to love about fall in Concord and the event calendar is full of a lot that you’ll love.

Our home grown fall mums are ready for sale! We are running a a Labor Day contest this week for the Facebook follower who correctly guesses to the closest number of how many 8" mums are shown in this field. The winner gets a free 12" Mum Patio Pot or Mum Hanging Basket of their choice. As a hint we are growing 25 thousand mums in total, the field shown is the largest one of 5 we are growing on the farm, and the fields are all different sizes!

One guess per follower, with the winner to be announced sometime next week...

For those who don't win the contest, we are running a great sale on 8" mums, $7.99 ea. regular priced, 5 or more mums for just $5.00 each with great colors to choose from.

Ok everyone, to liven things up on our Facebook feed it is time for a plant identification contest!
