Another fine example of an improper floor installation. This one has what we call a zipper pattern. And it is totally inappropriate and ugly. These floors are designed to look like a real hardwood with a lot of random joints in them not a specific pattern like tile would. And in this case here, not only did it have the zipper pattern but there are open joints clearly.

This is a recent job I completed using an LVP product from Mohawk. I really like the look of this one. And the stairs had a square / box style nose as opposed to the normal rounded bull nose. Did the staircase which split off two different directions about 3/4 of the way up. Also did the hallway as well as the master bedroom.

I just finished This project for a repeat client. Floor and stairs as well new shoebase molding throughout the house. This color is called Daydream Meadow Oak from Coreluxe. It's a gray version of the Canton Brook Oak I've been installing a lot of. It turned out very nice

Set of stairs and upstairs hallway I just installed. This was engineered flooring to match the first floor of the house.

This annoys me. If your installer is installing like this you need to tell him to leave and find somebody that knows what the hell they're doing. This is the incorrect way to install LVP or laminate. You will end up with a stair pattern running diagonally across your floor every 4 ft. It is ugly and is incorrect. The joints aren't even far enough apart. It is supposed to be laid with random lengths starting the rows. And it is supposed to be long, short than a little bit longer than shorter as each row goes. That in the end will give you what resembles a real hardwood floor. Being that most laminate and LVP products are around 4' long. If it is installed this way you will have what looks like a stairs step pattern running diagonally across your room in 4' rows. So before you hire somebody make sure you see pictures of their work and see if it has that in it. Before they come to your house and lay it down that way

Latest install Coreluxe LVP. Love this stuff. Whole first level....will be going back in a couple months to do the upper level.
