We love when our work involves a good story :)
Our clients live in a historic district, and wanted their bench outside their house replaced (can you tell why?!). This bench is on the sidewalk for others to use, and they wanted it to look and feel old, while still being sturdy. We built a bench to match that will last a long time, and slowly age to feel more old. Historic districts are my favorite, and this one just became even better!

We are in love with these built ins for a GREAT client who we so loved working with! I love a good organizational system - and the whole vibe of this room is perfection. Round over edges on the door panels & flush built ins.

We have partnered with Summit to make them pulpits from time to time (their designs), and it was fun to see our pulpits on their summitseating.com website and catalog! If your church is ever in need of a pulpit or furniture - please send them our way. We love to bless churches, and have some really fun ideas!

Our client needed a cabinet/shelving to display her amazing pottery & art! Love the contrast of colors & different size shelves, it really makes them pop out.

A beautiful stairwell! Love how simple picture frame molding can make it feel so much richer!

A client came to us with a half finished cabinet, made by his grandfather. He had passed away, leaving the cabinet unfinished. We had the honor of completing this piece for him, and hope we lived up to his grandfathers talent.

Here was our clients original request - we were so excited to help them with their need!
"Hey guys! ... I’ve actually had a hard time finding wood workers with this expertise. My wife and I keep getting tossed around by other contractors. I am interested in having a hollow wood mantel built. The catch is that it would have to wrap around our fireplace. My goal is to keep the crown molding."

We transformed a simple, old mantle, into a gorgeous oak one with so much character! A great way to get a new mantle, without having to pay to demo or re-do the whole wall!

A gate in NoDa! We don't do exterior projects usually, but we have a hard time saying no to our favorite clients :) Made from white oak, and a heart for character!

We always LOVE when a client wants furniture, and using walnut was the cherry on top! Our client wanted a modern design, a super custom size, and metal base. Thanks to Metal Works - Welding & Fabrication for the super neat gold spider legs, and Kluttz Lumber for the gorgeous slabs!

A custom built in bar for a returning client. This was for a vacation home of theirs, and it turned out gorgeous! She has great design ideas, and found this gorgeous mesh, that Marshal layered together and built into the cabinet doors.

We love working with old furniture! Our client had a beautiful table, that was sentimental to them. They didn't want to get rid of it, but also didn't need another table. So they had Marshal turn it into a one-of-a-kind bookshelf! Every piece of the bookshelf is from the original table. They let him run with it, and he was able to use his artistic skill and be creative!

We love it when a client comes to us with a really fun idea! Here was their 'before' pictures, and the after is so much fun. Built in bookshelf with a murphy door! We found this really neat fake book latch, and it opens up to a secret room. Complete with a rolling library ladder & hand made crown to match the rest of their house!

Crazy to think this is the same piece of wood! There was resin in the knot when we bought it, which we (or our client) didn't like. So we routered it out, cut out a knot from another piece of walnut, and inlayed it in. The finishing makes all the difference!

This was such a neat story!

We were contacted by someone in Charlotte who had an oak tree cut down and milled. After it was dried, he sold it to us to make a conference table. Turns out his adorable son was also born with cleft lip and palate, and our son got to go meet him. It was the first time Brad had seen another baby with cleft, and it was really special for him!

We love all the connections we get to make with clients and people through our company. We love the world of small business, and the community we live in!

Our favorite December project - Thank you so much Amber for thinking of us to build this for you! We hope her daughter will play with it, and her daughter, and so on!

A lot of people don't realize we do trim installs, as we don't post much about it! It doesn't really produce fun pictures. But we can help with any trim projects you have! This is all a pre-painted install we did recently.

Shiplap wall and custom mantle. Our client wanted to give their builder-grade home a bit more character, so we helped him out, just in time for Christmas! Thanks to the wonderful team at DeHaan Painting for finishing this project up for us!

Bi-fold barn door for access to laundry room - complete with glass panels & hardware to complete the look.

Floating shelves above kitchen sink - built and installed to create a beautiful and functional space.

A beautiful built in. Love the darker color & hardware she picked out, and the accent pieces up top to give it a little more character!

Handcrafted cremation urn for a good friend's father. I put a lot of thought into this box, and went for a sunrise looking joint. Used burl red oak & burl mahogany.

Everybody loves a good built in! Installed with beautiful crown, and lights to make it even more functional!

And last but not least, this matching statement piece. A round table, with a plantar box in the middle, and the same reed wall done on the outside. Everything done was so unique and fit their company - we had a blast with it all!
