🐱🐶 Animal Photography 🐶🐱
💜 These photographs are of animals that lived in places I stayed and/or I helped find a home. These were taken throughout the course of me turning 18 when I was moving and living in different houses, staying with friends and moved out of my parents. The photos of the cat with the kittens are from when I was staying with a friend and I helped make sure they got adopted into a good home. I don't know what has happened with the older cat because I moved out of that house. The black and white German Shepard was a dog they has for a while until they were unable to take care of it and gave it away. The puppy was dropped off at their house and I made sure it also found a good home. All of the cats except the one with the baby were outside cats that stayed outside of my parents when I was 17 and before I left home that I would take care of. The black dog had from the time I was 17 to when Ieft home and I think my parents gave the dog away. I don't know the reason but they did. These are all animals that impacted my life a lot and were an important part of my journey. Now I no longer live at home and in any of these places. I am in a better, more stable place and for once I am truly happy. When I look back on these photos I realize that these animals were the main things that brought me joy and happiness during the back and forth moving 💜

🌿 Nature Photography 🌿

💙 These are some photography I took from my old house when I was around sixteen and seventeen years old. They were my first try at trying to capture nature in photography and doing actual scenery pictures. I enjoyed doing these and capturing the scenery and nature. Some of them where right before or after a storm had came, some where of the sun as it set, and some where to just capture the moment. Photography helped keep me grounded growing up, a way to express myself and it made me feel like I had a purpose regardless of everything that was happening at home and my living situation. Photography and capturing the moments helped me get through all of that 💙

💜 Photography of older model cars/vehicles. Some photography from before I moved. These are photographs I took while going on an afternoon walk in the place I used to live at. They kind of give me 1950s-1960s vibes [even if that isn't the model year of the vehicle(s)] as well as greaser vibes. This fits well into my greaser/1950's-1960's aesthetic 💜

💬 Why do I enjoy the things I do? 💬

Music has always been a important part of my life. Learning music has helped me a lot and it has helped me slowly improve my mental health. Music allows me to be creative and to freely express myself. It allows me to be calm and helps with my stress. After a long day playing my guitar, working on writing music, listening to music and such helps me wind down, to let go of my stress and to be calm. I've been learning about music since I was 13 and started playing guitar at 16 after saving up to buy my own. I started getting into music as a way to express myself and to have an outlet for my emotions instead of bottling them all inside and ignoring them. I later on want to learn other instruments and to be able to make music with others and to potentially be apart of a small band on the side. Music has always helped me when I am stressed, or I've had a bad day. It allows me time to calm down, reflect and look back on the events of the day. Whenever I play my guitar and I work on writing music I feel the stress melt away and a calmness come over me. It makes me forget the bad events that happened and my bad day for a moment while allowing me to look back on it and see the good I didn't see before. It allows me a way to express myself without fear of judgement and to overcome/handle my trauma. It makes It easier to deal with everything around me. A way to be my authentic self without fear of judgement. I enjoy art for a similar reason I enjoy music. It helps me with my stress and anxiety while giving me a way to express myself and to be me. It helps me acknowledge and understand my feelings. It is relaxing and inspiring for me no matter what kind of art I am making. I enjoy making art of all kinds and using all kinds of multimedia. It allows me to express myself and my emotions without using words but using a image, a picture. A picture can be a 1,000 words and seen/analysed different by every person who sees it. It helps me process complex emotions, and find relief. It helps me when I feel overwhelmed or taken over by the hectic state of the world. It gives me a chance to slow down, to breathe and be in the moment. Photography allows me to see things from a different perspective and to capture it in that moment. It allows me to focus on something I enjoy. It allows me to capture memories and moments. It is a moment where time disappears, I forget myself and I become a part of something bigger and a bigger picture. It allows me to focus and observe. It draws me to a peaceful state and it is meditative for me. It allows me to reframe the world around me, to see it differently, and to reflect on my thoughts and feelings. Writing is another way I can relax and destress. It allows me to relase my emotions/feelings by writing them down and turning them into poetry and/or music. It allows me to understand, relect and acknowledge my emotions instead of bottling them up and/or ignoring them. It allows me to concentrate and to free my mind when it becomes overcrowded with thoughts. Writing allows me to clear space in my head which helps my anxiety. These things have always been important and close to me due to these numerous reasons.
