CAYLI held their Media and Communication Session where students took professional headshots and learned about networking from Brandon Martinez.

Participants visited Arkansas PBS with Karen Walker and heard from LaTresha Woodruff about the impact of words. CAYLI participants also learned from Alexis Sims about social media and marketing effectively.

After participating in a photo walk, participants completed the CAYLI Media Project. Thank you to everyone who made this session possible!!

UCA Outreach had the best time celebrating all The Faulkner County Imagination Library graduates at the Kick-Off to Kindergarten!

UCA Outreach & Community Engagement is pleased to be an affiliate partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth up to age five in participating communities.

The Faulkner County Imagination Library covers only Faulkner County with the book giving program. According to Aspire Arkansas, “early literacy skills are critical to a successful school experience.”

The UCA Outreach family has loved how beautiful the campus looks this summer! Enjoy some fresh air and take a walk around UCA!

This week CAYLI attended the Human Services session! Participants learned from Aimee Prince the Executive Director at Bethlehem House, Inc. . CAYLI Students visited Conway Emergency Shelter (CAPCA Community Action Program for Central Arkansas), The City of Hope Outreach, Conway Ministry Center, and the Independent Living Services. At the end of the sessions, students participated in a poverty walk and learned more about human services in the Conway community.

We are so sad to see Billie Hill the Director of Financial and Technical Services leave UCA Outreach! She will be greatly missed! Billie is now the Senior Accountant in Financial Accounting at UCA and our UCA Outreach family is cheering her on from across campus! 💜🐻

The new CAYLI class had the best time at the retreat! Students learned about their personal strengths through Strengthsquest, participated in team-building activities, and decided on a service project. The CAYLI students also toured Windgate at UCA where they painted their own mugs. Between CAYLImpics and the ropes course, these students had a blast at the retreat!
