We had the privilege of having Rotarian Sister,Katya Pitchford (Rotary in Ukraine)as our guest speaker this week. Katya delivered a very passionate and enlightening message. She gave us knowledge of Ukraine Pre-war, beginning of the war and present day. The Rotary is a supporter for the people of Ukraine and has donated in the past, however with limited resources, they still have the continued need of our help.
Much gratitude goes out to Tracy Beene Wx THV11 meteorologist for being our guest Speaker today. She brought immense knowledge and shared her love for the central Arkansas community and our safety.
Today, my year as President of Conway Noon Rotary Club came to an end. I have loved getting the opportunity to serve alongside so many great people in our community. I look forward to many more years as a Rotarian!
Our club is in great hands with Sarah Pew Shaw as our new President.
We honored some awesome Rotarians with the following awards:

Congratulations Rotarian Melissa Dyson on your recent promotion!
We've been so busy we almost forgot to share this exciting news!!
Bethlehem House is proud to announce the promotion of Melissa Dyson as the new Director of Operations. Dyson has been with Bethlehem House for 12 years, serving in many difference capacities. Her most recent role was as Case Manager for our residents.
Dyson now assists the Executive Director and oversees team members in the day-to-day operations as well as ensuring the house runs efficiently and effectively. It takes a lot of planning, organizing, love and patience for the program to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and Dyson is perfect for the job.
Congratulations, Melissa Dyson!
The mission of Bethlehem House, Inc. is to provide hope and healing and to equip individuals to begin a restored life with purpose.
It is with a heavy heart that share this about our friend, Freed Duncan.
He was the definition of Service Above Self, always lending a hand at any fundraiser or Club event. He was a past District Governor, past President, Rotarian of the Year, recipient of the Bravo Zulu award, a Rotarian for one half century, upstanding citizen, consummate businessman, gentleman, advisor and friend.
The world would be a delightful place were it full of Freed Duncans. Sadly, there was only one and he will be greatly missed. Please join us in celebrating a life well lived and keep Mr. Freed's family in your hearts as they traverse this new season.

Conway Rotary Club is a proud supporter of the UCA Foundation Scholarship program.
This year, we met Riley Turner, the Conway Rotary Club scholarship recipient at the UCA Foundation Scholarship Reception on Sep 29.
We also met Greta Hacker at the UCA Foundation Scholarship Reception. Greta is the first recipient of the memorial Chris Nielsen Mental Health Counseling Scholarship which the club donated to last year.
Our dear friend, Rotarian Freed Duncan, hasn’t been able to come to meetings… So, we took Rotary on the road. We were excited to present him with a 50 years of service award, and enjoyed a few stories.
Freed has served our club as President and District Governor, and overall is the epitome of an excellent Rotarian.
Congratulations, Freed!
