What should I do if I requested a Republican mail Ballot, can I exchange it for a Democrat ballot?

Election Board Supervisor Cynthia Willingham response, "good morning, if you have not returned your ballot, you may return it and request the ballot of your choice. We send out the party ballot listed on the absentee application completed by the voter. We have had several voters cancel their republican ballot in which they requested and replaced it with the democratic ballot. This is not an issue….its the voter’s choice to switch if desired."

Whether you call it Resurrection Sunday or Easter .. or don’t celebrate at all … may today be a blessing to you. Be thankful, always.

I wanted to invite you and neighbors to unite and stand together in solidarity because what affects one of us affects us all as a whole.

A peaceful protest will happen this coming Thursday, October 19, 2023 @5:00 at the address below. We will meet on North Main Street one hour prior to the 6:00 Planning and Development Zoning Meeting for the review of the 205 houses planned for the Rezoning application by D R Horton at Walker Rd/Ebenezer Rd.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, Conyers Police Department, and Rockdale County Fire & Rescue work as a team for 364 days each year to keep our community safe. However, on one day of the year, it’s time for the departments to face off against each other in a friendly competition for a good cause and for bragging rights.

This year it will be the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive.

RCSO, CPD, and RCFR compete to see which department can contribute the most blood donations to the American Red Cross. Members of the community are also invited to donate and choose which team they would like to support.

This year’s “Battle of the Badges” blood drive is scheduled for TOMORROW, Thursday, August 17th from 10:00am-3:00pm. It will be held at the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office located at 911 Chambers Dr. Walk-ins are welcome but organizers suggest residents book an appointment in advance at www.redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code: RockdaleSheriff
