2024 is a big election year and it all starts in Georgia with the Presidential Preference Primary on March 12th. Have a plan to vote and stay informed.

Polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Important local positions such as Mayor and City Council seats are being voted on, as well as school tax issues, depending on your location. Before you go, make sure you have ID ready and are going to the correct voting poll location. Get all the information you need including a sample ballot at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/.

Voting is tomorrow. Before you go to the polls, make sure you have valid ID and are going to your assigned polling location.

Georgia citizens have several convenient methods of registering to vote:

Download and complete a Voter Registration Application (PDF).
If you have a valid driver's license or identification card issued by the Georgia Department of Driver Services, you may use the State of Georgia's Online Voter Registration System.
“Motor Voter” registration is available when you renew or apply for a Georgia driver’s license through the Georgia Department of Driver Services.
Voter registration applications are available at the county elections office, public libraries, city halls, public assistance offices, and recruitment offices.

Newton County residents will be voting in the upcoming election for Senior Homestead Exemption for School Taxes.
