Struggle with ingrown hairs? Don’t worry, I got you! ✨

🕯 Using a non abrasive scrub 2-3x a week will remove dead skin cells and help your hair grow out properly. My personal favorite is deck scrub.

🕯 If you already have ingrown hairs, tight clothes can cause more irritation and ingrown hairs. Staying in your sweaty clothes will create a nice environment for bacteria growth and potential infection around the ingrown hairs 🦠

🕯 Changing out your loofahs regularly is crucial for your skins health. They accumulate your dead skin and soap residue. Old exfoliating tools can harbor bacteria, you don’t want to “clean” your skin with a bacteria loofah 😬.

🕯 You don’t want to use just any type of soap. Using a gentle pH - balanced cleanser will respect your body’s natural pH but help maintain a healthy balance of natural bacteria (without irritating you). My go to is always Simply pure body wash.

🕯 Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! This will prevent dryness and irritation. Using a lightweight yet super effective oil like Nourishing oil will leave your skin and hair soft.

🕯Already dealing with gnarly ingrown hairs? Using Smooth operator, is gentle yet effective. It will help reduce inflammation and unclog pores, allowing the trapped hair to break through the surface and grow out properly. Using this 2-3x a week to maintain clear and unclogged pores.

Welcome to Zen Aesthetics ✨

My name is Zenia, pronounced See-knee- ah (or zee-knee-ah), and I am the owner of Zen Aesthetics! I have been a licensed/working esthetician since 2017. I’ve also been a wax trainer for two major wax companies 🤗.

I grew up in Northern Virginia but spent the bulk of my adult life in the San Diego area. San Diego will always feel like home but I have recently made Georgia my new home.

My passion for skincare started young as I always struggled with eczema, dry and sensitive skin. Who remembers the morning burst clean and clear days? I remember trying so many different products that would give my face a burning sensation and I’d think “oh yeah, that means it’s working!” 😂. If only I knew what I know now back then.

So going to esthetics school seemed like a no brainer to me but while in school I found a love for waxing. Something about the instant gratification and being able to see the smile on my guest afterwards felt rewarding!

I specialize in both, hard and soft wax. As an esthetician/wax specialist my focus is on your skins integrity. We love healthy skin ✨.
