Board of Regents Chairman Sachin Shailendra and University System of Georgia (USG) Chancellor Steve Wrigley have announced Interim President Kimberly Ballard-Washington as the sole finalist for president of Savannah State University.

Sen. Ossoff announced Georgia HBCUs will receive about $75 million through the American Rescue Plan.
He made the announcement at Savannah State University (SSU), which he said will receive $17.5 million.
“I want the students here to know that we wrote this bill so that half of those resources go to you. Half of those resources must go to financial aid or direct support for the student body,” said Ossoff.
