Happy New Year, loves! As most of you know, I have been out of the studio since August awaiting the arrival of and enjoying the first few months with my long prayed for baby girl! I have decided to step back into the working world this new year, beginning most Fridays with a few random appointments sprinkled in. (Periodically, as I feel confident in bringing her with me) My waitlist has officially timed out and has not been renewed for the first of the year, so if you were previously on the list or wish to be on the list for additional openings, PLEASE add yourself to the waitlist or contact me if you need help with getting added. I am so grateful for your patience, loyalty, and understanding during this time and I cannot wait to see, again, those of you able to return! I ask that you continue to be patient with me going forward as my hands are full with a whole lot of love as she def gets priority over my attention. ☺️ I pray you all had a beautiful, blessed Christmas and for a Happy New Year to come. See you all soon!

Missing working on brows. Here’s a set of soft powder brows from earlier this year!
Still here. Still pregnant! 🤣🤭 just wanted to show my face and let y’all know how much I’m missing clients but also enjoying every single kick, flip, and punch this girl is dishing out! Feels like she’s ready to make her drop any day now and it’s a literal workout just to stand at this point. Anywho, counting down the days to meet her and hope to see you all again soon! 😍mosakowski
Another beautiful powder brow transformation by Tonya (.pmu) here at Willow Bark Studio! Peel the progression from the client’s makeup to her soft, natural powder brow result!
We love providing confidence to our clients while eliminating unnecessary time getting ready each day!

Well, TWO WEEKS from today we will be welcoming Baby Selah! I’ve been terrible about getting pics through this whole process but I just can’t believe she truly is almost here. 37 weeks and a day today and we head to be induced on Sept 12! Praying she’s ready to come and the process is smooth, quick, and natural as safely possible! 🙏🏻mosakowski

Many have asked, “When will you come back? Are you coming back? How long will you take off?”. The answer to that is, “I don’t know?!”. Haha. I believe in full transparency so I just am embracing every moment of this ride and have no clue how I will truly feel once she is here. On this side of delivery, I feel that I will be itching to come back and socialize and treat you all. But, I’m also not naive to the fact that I will be in love with her and may want to spend more time with her than anticipated. So, post baby, the schedule MIGHT be similar to August-fewer dates that open up to be able to catch up, but still not miss some of the most important moments of her life. So many of you have already expressed your understanding and support through this whole process and it’s been overwhelmingly encouraging. I’d love to speak with any of you about any other questions you may have about any of this, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Also, if you are one of the folks that are going to want/need appointments during those times, please RESPOND TO THIS POST or send me a dm with your preferred time to be added to the list.
Reposting periodically throughout my leave so everyone is aware!

I will be taking most of August off. Being considered high risk for the type one diabetes will call for additional doctor visits closer to time and I want to be able to attend all of those without any stress of missing or moving any appointments during that time. I have decided to create a waitlist or “lottery” of sorts for August appointments. What that means is, august will not be bookable in general. However, anyone that needs an appointment in august will be placed (if you so choose) on a waitlist and will be notified if and when dates open up periodically throughout the month. You will be able to accept or decline those dates that will come open as they will be first come first served. I also will be posting on social media the names of my favorite other estheticians in town that will be more than happy and capable to meet your needs while I’m out! I’m so thankful for a community in Cookeville as well as the beauty industry itself that is so much more support over competition. I have made some great friendships with some awesome ladies that will take great care of you all!

“Chasing Babies and Jesus”

Well, more like “carrying A baby and chasing Jesus”, but still 🥰

Today is a great, strange, bittersweet day for me. It is my last day of work before maternity leave. No one is prebooked two months out, I’m not accepting new appointments or fitting anyone in where I can. There’s a peace to that as well as some …emptiness? Not sure the word, exactly. I have worked since I was 16. I love to work. I love my clients-turned-friends. I appreciate their loyalty and the blessings God has poured out over me and my business the last few years. BUT, I am so excited to start this new journey and be able to rest and focus on the new chapter He has for me/us! I know this may just be temporary, but I am hoping to soak up EVERY SINGLE moment of it I can.

Keep an eye out on my social pages, as well as emails as to potential pop up dates or my return after Selah arrives. I love y’all and appreciate all the love, encouragement, and support we have received from everyone in this journey! Special thanks to all my Esthie besties that will be taking special care of my valued clients while I’m out. Here’s to last and first days!

The softest, most perfectly healed powder brows before her perfection session! 😍 this is exactly what we love to see before the touch up session. Soft, even saturation of pixels. Healed perfectly and don’t need much!

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support, and thanks for reading this far! I love you and am grateful for each and every one of you.

Hello my friends! It’s been a while since I’ve reached out collectively, so I thought I’d take a moment to update everyone on what’s going on with myself and the studio.
As most of you have heard and seen by now, WE’RE HAVING A BABY! We have waited and prayed for this for so long and The Lord has granted us the petitions we made to Him. We are forever grateful and excited, to say the least! That being said, I wanted to lay out the next few months going forward.
I am currently 22 weeks with Baby Selah and this whole process is FLYING by. I have recently made the decision to cut all facial and skincare services from my menu and focus solely on my PMU (Permanent Make Up) work, as well as lashes and waxing that compliment those PMU services. I have had such great support from you all and I am so thankful to have such great clients. I have enjoyed the relationships we’ve built and the new folks I’ve been able to meet!
With PMU, there is an initial session and a 6-8 week touch up/perfection session. I have since booked all initial appointments for this summer as I want to ensure I have the opportunity to complete all perfections sessions before being out for maternity leave. If you are an existing Pmu client and are needing a color boost session or have not received your perfection session, yet, there are a few spots left in July, so PLEASE get those set asap.
I am still actively looking for an artist to work within the studio to help supplement some of those times, so be on the lookout for an announcement soon as to when and what that will look like.

FRESH
This goddess already had great brows but she felt she needed a little structure and density. How do you think we did? 😍
I have pondered for WEEKS (ok actually years, if I’m being honest) on how I would ever post this. How would I word it perfectly to capture ALL the thoughts and feelings and joys and struggles. How long would it be before I even could? Or would I ever be able to? There are lots of details to this 6 year journey that I won’t list into this single post, but I’d love nothing more than to share it with anyone interested.
SIX YEARS. Six years we have waited for this to be true. From the days of excitement, stress, doubt, confusion, resentment, joy, contentment, DIScontentment, worship, prayer, (some days not praying, 😔), questioning, talking, talking, talking, asking, seeking, understanding and then not understanding. I could go on for DAYS.
BUT GOD.
I was thinking the other day about explaining our story of “infertility”. That’s when The Holy Spirit spoke to me and showed me that I was never “infertile”. I was simply IMPATIENT. Whew. It’s hard to swallow every time I say it. You see, all that doubt and worry and resentment and confusion- NONE of that, not a single drop, was of or from The Lord. He showed me that I just was allowing the enemy to shape my thoughts and tell me that I wasn’t doing enough. Maybe I wasn’t ever meant to be a mom bc God knew me better and maybe he was protecting me. Tons of lies.
BUT GOD. He is so good, so faithful, so kind, so patient, so understanding, and STILL gives good gifts even when we doubt Him. See, He never waivers. He said -my child, if you only knew. If you KNEW this surprise I have in store for you, you would never wonder what’s at work in your family.
So, I say all that to say…. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow. 12 weeks in today.
