These broiler shelters are in uncharted territory! We haven't run any animals on this side of the farm yet. Going to see how far we can make it with the flat tractors. There are holes, dips and inclines we'll be trying out here shortly! Freshest of grasses for the birds. Oh and I pointed out the piggies they aren't far behind! We are planning to get all of our birds back to this pasture to help build it up. Was woodland only about 1.5 years ago. Dark green grass spots follow the feeders and shelter location. As we move them. A quick view of the chicken tractor pasture. With the rain we have recently had our soil can more easily absorb the nutrients from the chicken manure (it doesn't try out and blow away). We hope you can see where at first the manure packs down the grass maybe not ideal but it's around the feeders where broilers tend to hang out. With only a few weeks passed and the grass is already showing signs of improvement. Thicker and darker where we first started. Healthy soil more carbon being sequestered.
