Happy October, everyone.
Most of you may not be surprised to know
that I like Halloween to a degree that it makes my month kattywompus.
My work schedule will reflect this. As I will be taking vacation time and partaking in many other fiendish festivities. No. That is not an error. I am working a Monday here and there.
Speaking of scary, Trader Joe's will be opening soon. This means that for the next 4-5 months, parking will likely be a nightmare as everyone congregates to see the new thing.
Please feel free to bike here, drop off your kids, or have someone drop off you. Or don't. Maybe you are looking to get in the extra steps. Good on you!
Happy Halloween,
Austin Hayes

Hello Heroes
Summer is here, and it is hot. So now is a great time to remind you of some summer hair dos and don'ts.
Sunscreen: Avoid putting sunscreen directly on the scalp as most sunscreens will build up and clog pores, which can lead to hair loss.
Sunburns: Sunburns are damaged epidermis. This can even include the scalp. If a sunburned scalp is too severe, I will turn away a client (without charge) until the area has healed.
Hats: Yes. Hats will block everyone from seeing how great of a haircut you have. But they will also greatly help keep your head cool and protected. Please wear at least one while in direct sunlight.
Hydrate: Dandruff is basically caused by a lack of moisture in the scalp. Drink water for a healthier scalp and stay hydrated.
Simple enough. See you soon. Try not to die.
Happy 4th,
Austin Hayes
Hello Heroes,
I want to extend my deepest thanks
to all who have ever sat in my chair. If you have been a client of mine for 6 years or 6 months, you have allowed me to continue doing what I enjoy to help pay the bills, buy food, and make my life more enjoyable.
To celebrate 4 years of being in business
Cuts And Capes Barbershop is offering discounts on all hair products through the month of June.
With that said. Are you planning a summer vacation? Do you want to look your best for Father's Day?
Remember, there is no limit to how far in advance you may schedule a haircut at Cuts and Capes Barbershop. Book online anytime.
Thank you,
Austin Hayes

May is a busy month for many of us.
With proms, graduations, vacations, and interviews for that summer job, it is easy to forget Mother's Day. So make mamma proud and book your next appointment online, so you can look your best. Not just for mom but for yourself.
Speaking of moms. I will be taking a bit of time away from work (25th-27th) to celebrate my 20-year high school reunion and see my mom. I will resume work on Tuesday (28th) to make up for it.
See you soon.

Yes. It is spooky season. But that does not mean you should look scary all the time.
While the air will begin to chill, the air is still dry. And a dry climate tends to bring dryscalp/dandruff.
By simply drinking healthy amounts of water, turning down the heat on your hairdryer, interchanging your shampoo brands, and completely washing out said shampoo from your hair, you can prevent your scalp from being as dry as a mummy's.
Healthy hair starts with you. But Cuts and Capes Barbershop is here to help.
Happy October mortals,
Austin H.
