This week we sat down with Jordan Creel, Director of Quality at AerSale Roswell Aircraft MRO Operations Center. We asked him about his AerSale passion project, the ACE Program, and how he thinks this program will help the local community.

What do you do at AerSale?
As Director of Quality, I ensure continued compliance with Aviation Authorities and compliance standards while working on continuously improving all our procedures and processes. Along with these duties, I have spearheaded the development of the ACE Program.

What is the ACE Program?
The ACE program is an apprenticeship program aimed to aid in the shortage of aircraft technicians. With Roswell being a unique location, this program is a great way to mentor new professionals who otherwise may not have the resources to get into the industry.

How does ACE prepare participants for aviation careers?
ACE provides a pathway to the professional aviation industry which includes hands-on experience and extensive on-site learning. Our students receive all the tools they need to be successful technicians.

What do you think the ACE program will do for the local community?
The ACE program will provide the resources for aspiring professionals to begin their aviation training before they even graduate. This learning opportunity creates a positive and successful pathway for Roswell youth to achieve their career goals.

Today, we received FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for AerAware™, our revolutionary Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) for the Boeing B737NG product line.✈️

This achievement marks the first commercial EFVS system in the world to achieve a 50% visual advantage and the first large transport aircraft to be certified with a complete dual-pilot EFVS solution featuring a Head-Wearable Display (HWD). AerSale developed the AerAware certification program under license with The Boeing Company which included access to necessary technical services, maintenance, and engineering data.

The unprecedented certification of AerAware is the result of a collaboration with Universal Avionics, an Elbit Systems company, which features the integration of technology developed by their team, including dual SkyLens™ Head-Wearable Displays and a single EVS-5000 multispectral camera providing heads-up capability to overcome low visibility- both day and night. “Attitude is everything! You can always teach skills, but you can’t teach attitude.” This week we sat down with Lazara Viera, Senior Director of Procurement and Customer Service in Miami, FL and asked what advice she would give someone starting at AerSale and how she got into aviation.

How did you get into Aviation and what do you do at AerSale?
29 years ago, my cousin approached me about a job in the mailroom for a large aviation hardware distributor and I haven’t looked back since. I am now the Senior Director of Procurement and Customer Service at AerSale, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

How would you describe the culture at AerSale?
I would describe the work culture at AerSale as diverse, but very family oriented. The morale is always very high, and everyone is constantly supporting one another.

What tips or advice would you give someone starting a new job?
Attitude is everything! Always come in with your best attitude. You can always teach skills, but you can’t teach attitude.

“AerSale is a unified group that is always helping one another and looking out for one another’s safety as well as the safety of future aircraft passengers.” This week we sat down with Alex Quintana, one of our rockstar Line Maintenance Mechanics in Goodyear, AZ. We asked him a few questions about his journey as a mechanic and how he got into aviation.

What do you do at AerSale?
As a Line Maintenance Mechanic, some of my day-to-day work involves engine removals, installations, aircraft weight/balance and return to service.

How did you end up working at AerSale?
I recently graduated from WEST-MEC’s aviation program. AerSale came to campus for a visit and that is where I learned about the company and all that AerSale offers. Right away I applied for a job and started working as a Teardown Mechanic.

What is your favorite part of working at AerSale?
My favorite part of working at AerSale is that I learn something new every day! There really is no such thing as knowing too much.

How did you enter the aviation industry?
I got into the aviation industry because of my uncle. Funny enough, he graduated from my same program at WEST-MEC and ended up working at AerSale.

How would you describe the culture at AerSale?
AerSale is a unified group that is always helping one another, whether big or small. The mechanics are always looking out for one another’s safety as well as the safety of future aircraft passengers.
