So picked up this pair of Hanzo Shears 6 inch and 7 inch and it doesn’t matter that these are Hanzo if you or Shears are behaving the same way these are send them to me. Call me. Let me know if we can fix your Shears. Hanzo is a good Shears, but as you can see, they’re not cutting the way Hans should cut. I love when I get a pair of our shears to sharpen. This pair was sold a year and a half ago. Got hats what Japanese vg-10 steel does. It has longevity. Here is a pair of shears a barber asked if I could sharpen these. As you see in the pics. These have been ground down to smitherines. No this has not been done with one sharpening. But this is what I see a lot of. Sharpening done on grinders and wheels. This is no way to sharpen shears it is so not necessary. This is bad bad sharpening. Picked up a pair of Above shears. They were previously sharpened by the sharpener that sells this brand. They put a bevel angle on the blade taking away the convex. Not how this shears blade originally started out. These were put on a grinder or wheel and this was the result. I don’t agree with this method of sharpening. I was able to sharpen these and honed them up to where they no cut clean and crisp. If you have any questions about your shears. A Hanzo not being a Hanzo. I see this all the time. A previous sharpener used a machine and put a bevel in place of a convex. Please , Please stop letting these machine sharpeners touch your shears. Hanzo swivels. I’m a big swivel shear guy. I love them. This pair I picked up the barber said he dropped them and there was a nice in them. So. I put them to my stones, honed and cleaned the ride line. Honed the edge up kept the convex and got rid of the nic. Now they cut like they are supposed to.
