November we saw home sales break a streak of five consecutive months of decline as sales finally grew thanks to a break in interest rates. As lowered rates are expected to continue in 2024, National Association of Realtors (NAR) Chief Economist Lawrence Yun predicts rates will continue to decline. So will housing shortages, and prices should only continue to increase. Personally, almost as soon as the ball dropped on New Year's Eve, Ron Piccolo's Father and Son Team’s phones started to ring with buyers and sellers wanting to take advantage of lower rates and a healthy real estate market despite the 2023 frustrations.
