History lesson:

A stele, which is a stone monument, was retrieved from the sunken ancient Egyptian city of Heracleion located at the bottom of the ocean. Heracleion, also known as Thonis, was an influential and prosperous port city during the Late Period of ancient Egypt. As time passed, various factors such as land subsidence, rising sea levels, and natural disasters caused the gradual sinking of the city into the Mediterranean Sea.

For centuries, the knowledge of Heracleion's existence was limited to historical texts and ancient references. The city's existence became shrouded in myth and legend, with doubts arising regarding its actuality.

Ha ha ha... weather tonight and tomorrow seems to be the last of Indian Summer. (Especially since it's about 80F out at the moment?!?!)

After a (hard-ish) frost this coming midweek (you can probably leave the brass monkey out on the deck though) next week we'll have seasonable weather again going into that weekend. November 3rd weekend looks fine for warm cider and hayrides...

At ExecuCenter, we clean surfaces regularly and keep cleaners, wipes and towels available so that surfaces can be cleaned often and well. Hand sanitizer is available in each conference room, our kitchenette, at the reception entrance, and in our productivity center (copy/printing/binding/etc). Cleaning surfaces and hands effectively gets rid of that last bit of risk of contagion.

The "good news" (well, at least not-so-dismal news) is that the COVID-19 case rate is dropping in Steuben County, where we're located. Dropping a lot; it's down a touch more than 90% in the past month (it peaked this past January 7th).

Keep wearing your face masks and washing your hands. These small actions apparently are keeping the big COVID-19 rate in check...
