As Christians, we know God’s will for us to have peace even in the midst of chaos and busyness in this life. But there are times that even us has been struggling with experiencing that peace– we get caught up in the cares of this world, with the pressure, worries, and disappointments that we feel as though peace isn’t available for us. We get overwhelmed and exhausted but we are trapped in this cycle because every day we keep facing the same reality and problems.
So how do we resolve this and live a life Jesus intended us to have? He says in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Knowing this promise is different from experiencing it and experiencing it might be a process that we need to take every day.
One of the things that we can do is to practice stillness to hear His voice and to just enjoy His presence. Constantly hearing from the world can be the reason why we’re lacking peace. Stillness can be a space to build intimacy with our Heavenly Father, and it’s a place to receive refreshment from Him. And when we prioritize spending time with Him, we will experience His peace because we will be reminded of His promises and His presence in the midst of all the things that are going on around us.
Let us prioritize stillness in our lives, making room for God to speak, transform, and lead us into a deeper relationship with Him.

As Christians, it is vital to be rooted in Jesus and in His Word...
Fruitfulness doesn’t come on its own, but it also doesn’t come with our own efforts. Fruitfulness comes when we are connected with and deeply rooted in Jesus. In John 15:5 Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.“
So let’s aim to be rooted and established in Him by living for Him, spending time with Him, and reading God’s word.
🍇Some fruits of being rooted are:
✨We are secured in our identity in Him
✨His love will overflow from us to other people
✨We will not easily be swayed by the trials that may come
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7
“but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:2-3

Most of us start each year with the desire to be fruitful, with the prayer and hope that this will be the year we achieve our goals or receive the promise that we’ve been waiting for. But before we prioritize reaching our goals, may we first be encouraged and reminded by what the Prophet Haggai reminded the people of Israel during their time:
“You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes. “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways. Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the Lord.” Haggai 1:6-8
After years of being exiled, God heard their prayers and sent them back to Jerusalem. Their priority should have been rebuilding God’s temple so that they could worship Him again and offer sacrifices according to the law of the Old Testament. Yet during this time, people seemed to forget their priorities and started building their own houses while God’s temple lay in ruin.
So God reminded them to consider their ways and set their priorities straight.
This doesn’t mean that God didn't want them to have a house and a fruitful harvest, in fact, He wanted to bless them and restore them so they could enjoy His promises. But what He wanted from them was to prioritize His work and His call for them– in their case, rebuilding His temple– so they could worship Him. As a consequence of prioritizing other things, they remained unfruitful no matter how hard they worked.
I pray this will be a reminder for us as well to consider our ways and to prioritize God and His work, so we don't live selfishly hoping that we will be more fruitful in what we desire, but that we live in a way that puts His will above all else.
If we want to be blessed and fruitful this year, we must remember to seek God first.
Always be prepared to be a blessing in someone’s life because as His children, we are the ones who are His ambassadors on this earth. We have the privilege to partner with God in the work that He is doing. So may this be our prayer every day and may this be one of the things that we will intentionally do: to show His kindness and love towards His people. ❤️
I pray that we will always remember how great His mercy is and how He has been patient with us all through our lives until this day. May this be our motivation to obey Him and do what’s pleasing to Him, and may this also be a reminder every time we fall, God always has mercy for us when we turn back and repent.
May this be an encouragement for us today, we have a God who delights in mercy ❤️
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
This is our hope as we start a new year–God is making a new thing! One of the best things about God is that He loves to bless us with new beginnings. As this season passes, we can be certain that God will begin something new in our lives!
But as we enter a new season, a new beginning… sometimes there’s also this fear because new can also mean unfamiliar. Change is good but it can also be uncomfortable. Not knowing what lies ahead is what causes this fear. Is 2023 going to be better? Or worse? Is it going to bring forth blessings and answered prayer, or there’s a fear that we’re not going to get what we’re hoping for?
Yet let not our hearts be troubled. It is true that we don’t know what’s going to happen as we enter a new year, but we do know who our God is. We know that He is faithful, He is good, that He is with and for us.
What’s to fear when God is in control?
He is making a new thing. He is making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Only God knows what this year holds for us, but we know that He is holding us and that’s enough.
Let this be our prayer for this new year ❤️
✨Lord, help me to FOCUS on You
✨Lord, help me to LISTEN to You
✨Lord, help me to OBEY You
May our 2023 be all about Him 🙌
🔖 SAVE these prayers for later
As we are nearing the end of 2022, we hope you will take some time reflect on these things before we head into the New Year.
It’s the perfect time of the year to examine our hearts and our walk with Jesus. Some of us may look back and see a year filled with growth and faithfulness in obeying the Lord, and some may have had a tough time and had their faith shaken this year. Whichever applies to you, be reminded that it is not because of our own effort, but what Jesus did for us, that saves us.
So whether you grew or felt stagnant this year, I pray you to know that He who sustains your walk is faithful and each day is an opportunity to start afresh, for His mercy is always new.
Merry Christmas, everyone! 😍
To those who are grieving this Christmas…
We know that not everyone gets a “merry” Christmas. Sometimes, it can be an even more challenging season because it is when you’ll be reminded of the loss, or of the things that you could’ve been doing instead of being at the hospital, or to some people, they are just really going through tough times.
I pray that you’ll be reminded that it’s okay to grieve. Not because you felt that way does it mean you have to feel guilty. I pray that you don’t exhaust yourself by feeling like you’re supposed to be merry, I’m sure that God understands and He is not requiring you of anything but for you to remember His presence in the midst of your grief.
Christmas is all about Jesus, and Jesus knows what suffering and grief feel like. He is the One who suffered unimaginable pain on the cross and even before His suffering on the cross, He also felt the emotional pain of knowing what He was about to go through.
May this remind you that Christmas is about hope and you may not be experiencing joy at this moment, be reminded that in Christ, we can hope that there is more than the suffering that you are going through right now.
❤️🙌
Perfectly said!
The angels didn’t say, “Good news! You get to try hard. You get to wear yourself out. You get to make sure you have it all together.” Instead they declared: I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you (Luke 2:10-11).
A Savior! For us! I can never hear it enough...
Christmas isn’t about hustle; it’s about humility.
It’s not about perfection; it’s about grace.
It’s not about effort; it’s about extravagant love.
He is for us. He is with us. And He loves us beyond anything we could ever imagine. Thank You, Jesus!
Beautifully wrapped presents are something that all of us enjoy! We take pictures of them, post them on social media and love to share the beauty and excitement the anticipation of opening them brings. But at the end of the day, it's really what’s inside that actually matters. For instance, someone may have gone to great lengths to wrap their gift with beautiful paper and a big fluffy box, but when it's opened, they find a stone inside...and not a diamond either :)...a dirty old stone! Compare this to something wrapped in newspaper– messy and ugly – yet inside was the key to a brand new house! Wouldn’t the second one be the better gift?
The first Christmas was a lot like that. Jesus, the gift given to us by God– was born in a lowly manger. We may have an image of what the manger looks like based the many nativities that we've seen but the reality is that it looks like this...
The Jews could easily miss the Messiah because He didn’t come in glory, instead He came in this manger. But this didn't make Him any less of a King, and this child, though lowly in His birth, is our Savior!
I pray that we will appreciate the gift of Jesus, even more this season. May we be reminded that the King of the universe came down and dwelt among us. And that for a time, He did not count Himself as God but humbled Himself even to the point of death making our salvation possible.
With just a week before Christmas, have you decided what to get for your loved ones yet? If not, here are some ideas for you to choose from! ❤️
Here's a tip: Give them a gift that they will not just enjoy but also encourage their faith 😊
