Yesterday we had the honor of receiving the Shatuf Tzedek (Business Partner) Award from Congregation Beth Shalom here in Corona. It was such an honor being recognized for our involvement in the community that we love so much. We look forward being able to give back to Corona and it’s wonderful people who have supported us for the past 27 years, and especially for helping us to weather the last 2 years.
Today is a perfect day for Pozole! Choose red or green! Both are perfect for this cloudy cool Monday!
Do you know our server Alex? He's been with us for over 20 years, and has become part of our family. Alex is going through a very difficult time right now and is in need of our help.
Alex lost his father, who lived in Mexico, last week. This past Monday, his brother Felipe passed away due to complications from COVID. Alex needs help covering costs for arrangements to send his body back to Mexico where his mom and the rest of the family are awaiting in order to give him a proper burial in his home town.
Felipe was a resident of Corona and worked at Hunny's, both the Main St and the South Corona locations for over 30 years. He was hard working, and a great brother and son.
Please, if you can help out Alex we will all be forever grateful. 🙏

I'm sorry if it seems like all I do is post negative stuff, but here I am again with a change in our schedule. The truth is we're still struggling with hiring new staff, so if you know someone looking for a job who is hardworking, a team player and bilingual, please send them our way. We have full and part time busser positions available.
Thank you to all of you for your support during such crazy times. We appreciate you so much, you have no idea. We wouldn't still be here after almost 2 years since this all started without you. And because we get asked a lot how we're doing, I can say we don't have any plans of going anywhere, we've survived the past 2 years and hopefully we'll be able to ride out whatever is yet to come. We will continue to shift as things continue to change, all while working to get back to our full opening hours.
So for now, we will be closing on Tuesdays, at least through the end of February. I know, no Taco Tuesday, but it's the one day we struggle with the most, so Tuesday it had to be.
See you Wednesday through Monday!

Hi Everyone, as much as we hate closing even for an evening, it's been a struggle to stay open 7 days a week with the staff we have now. We are closing early today. We'll be back tomorrow at 8 AM.
Most of our staff is back from being out sick, but we're still short staffed since 2 of our FOH team members have moved on to great opportunities in other industries.
Once again, we're dealing with staff issues, so we are closing early today.
Many thanks for your patience and understanding as we continue to maneuver during these crazy times. We appreciate your support and do everything possible and close only as a last resort.
Also, a big shout out to our staff. They have been working so hard the past few months. They are responsible and so hard working. They all take pride in what we do and give their all. Unfortunately several of our team members are out sick and that makes it difficult to provide the best service and quality food with less staff. They're all getting medical attention and should be back shortly.
We will open tomorrow at 8am.
Please stay updated by checking our Facebook or Instagram as things can change without notice.
Once again, thank you so much for your support and understanding.
See you soon!
We’re sorry there will be no Taco Tuesday today. Due to staff shortages we’ll be closing at 3 PM.
