CrossFit is a functional fitness program, that incorporates all ten aspects of fitness and is performed in a group setting. We also offer, BaseFit, which is a beginner level CrossFit style class with shorter durations and a greater emphasis on fat loss and stamina. There is a designated area for kids to play during classes. Our gym accommodates all ages and fitness levels.
In the 2002 publication “What Is Fitness?” CrossFit suggested a theoretical hierarchy for the development of an athlete. This hierarchy starts with nutrition and moves to metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, weightlifting, and finally, sport. Our progression largely reflects foundational dependence, skill, and, to some degree, a general theory of development.
At CrownTown, we take care of the middle three. The foundation of the pyramid is nutrition, which we provide a general understanding and periodic nutrition challenge, but these are the hours outside of the gym you control. 4-5 hours in the gym each week. What about the other 160+ hours outside of the gym?
Lastly, it’s great that you are fit, but what sort of hobby do you have that allows you to use your fitness outside of the gym?

The good news is she didn’t use any pills, powders, or potions to accomplish this.
She made small daily habit changes that led to a sustainable approach to her new lifestyle.
Her goal was to be confident in a bathing suit since she just got a pool put in at her house. I think we can all agree that she is ready for that bathing suit.

Today it was my honor to present my February Small Business of the Month, Wayne Willette. Wayne is a long-standing member of the Corona Community and owner of CrossFit CrownTown.
He has guided thousands of youth, adults, and seniors to lead healthier lifestyles through his business. Promoting health lifestyles is very important to Wayne, so he has created many fundraising opportunities for Seven Stars Foundation, the Air Force Aid Society, local youth sports teams as well as the surrounding schools that seek to raise awareness on the importance of starting these healthy lifestyles at a young age.
Wayne has been featured twice in The Press-Enterprise, where he most recently shared with the publication about his strategy to loan out gym equipment to his gym members and offer online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to continue to serve his clients.
With his passion and dedication to helping people commit to a healthy lifestyle, Wayne Willette has made a significant difference in the Corona community and in the lives of its people, and through his leadership at CrossFit CrownTown, he has taken to heart his responsibility to serve the public and advance the profession of nutrition and fitness education. All #1 because they’re all important.
Since inception, we’ve had a reputation of placing a high level of emphasis on mobility, warm-ups, and longevity. Don’t get us wrong, lifting heavy and performing at high levels is important, but not if it isn’t sustainable.
We realize most people aren’t going to do mobility or proper warm ups on their own. It’s just a fact we’ve seen from experience.
That’s why we force feed all of our members for 10 minutes before every session. Not only does it help recovery, but it also increases performance and reduces the likelihood of an injury happening. But, it also teaches our community how to do daily maintenance on themselves, so they can perform stuff on their own.
This is our standard. 🏅
