Pretty productive Saturday between rain storms.
We got the recently acquired Corben Jr Ace wings reinstalled. Will do a little TLC then it will be put up for sale. Also we were able to get the Pietenpol started and do some taxi testing, checking out recent changes to the landing gear, tail wheel, and rudder pedal assemblies. All went well and the Piet is nearing completion and will also be put up for sale. Thanks to all the EAA members that came out to help and local Corona Airport regulars, Paul, Mike, and Lou.

Open mic nite at our monthly social. We heard some interesting stories from Mark, Chuck, and Charles. Charles told us about his interest in airplanes, taking a Young Eagles flight and wanting to become a pilot.
While we listened to stories and ate pizza a rocket launched from Vandenberg AFB and later the ISS flew over. Mark your calendar for our next social gathering on Oct 12.

Here’s a link for the Prado Dam water level data. It’s not a threat to the airport until it gets to about 513’.
It’s been reported that the Army Corps of Engineers plan to hold the level at 505’ during this storm but of course that is subject to change.

Thanks to our crew today consisting of David H, Art S, Joe N, Tom B, Jerry C, Chuck S, and Mark B.
Also thanks to local Vintage Aircraft Pilots Paul and Lou for some good advice.
