Happy Halloween greetings from the Love Shack Tiki Hut! While the weather may be a bit chilly, we’re thrilled to be a part of the Halloween fun at Hawksnest. We’ve teamed up with ,so be sure to visit us for some sweet treats, both for the little ones and the grown-ups.

Ever wondered why our logo features a heart within the wave? I'm a heart transplant recipient, and this week, we're biking hundreds of miles to raise awareness for life-saving organ donations. Yesterday, we completed a 55-mile ride, and I pedaled in honor of Ed, another heart recipient. Last night, the Altrusa organization of Temple graciously hosted us for dinner, and I had the privilege of sharing a heartfelt conversation with a donor family. They're now en route to Hawaii to meet the heart recipient, and their journey reminds me of when I met my own donor family. I hope their meeting this weekend creates wonderful memories. Time for another day of cycling! 🚴‍♀️

I have been blessed with the opportunity to live and love life. This year Chance and I started a small business on the island.
So, when it came time to create our logo for Love Shack Tiki Hut. I wanted our logo to embody our life and experiences. Here is a bit about our logo: In 2010 I was blessed with the gift of life in the form of a heart transplant. The heart image symbolizes the gift I received from my donor, Dillon.

The sun image symbolizes Chance’s fight through colon cancer and each day the sun came up was a new day to fight and survive cancer.

Dillon was a lover of all things fun, exciting and exhilarating, so starting a business where we could be on the beach and help others create a unique experience was a must.

Today, 13 years ago my life changed because of the decision of a young man and his family to give the gift of life. Thank you to all donors!

Growing up, I watched my dad navigate the complex world of business and non profit management, with passion and perseverance. His dedication and determination were contagious, and he instilled in me the belief that with hard work, a little creativity, and a love for people, anything is possible. He also taught me the value of building genuine connections, going above and beyond for customers, and always striving for excellence.
