Opening a restaurant during the summer is crazy. But we did. There were a lot of ups and downs, trial and error, technical difficulties, a ton of stress- but I wouldn’t change anything about it. We learned and we grew. I love my crew and couldn’t have done it without them, so we are taking a small break to recharge. I love and appreciate all the support yall have showed us. We love you CC!🧡🍕

I’ve known this man Joshua Fraedrick for over 10 years when I was just a bartender going to school. He’s always been the most genuine and giving guy. Not only does he care about the community, he has helped it grow. When Marty McPies was in the driveway trying to scrape money to cover inspections and extra stat up costs, Joshua stepped in and gave a FAVORABLE donation to help me start this dream. A donation like that in the middle of a pandemic was something special. I’ll never forget and I appreciate it with my whole heart. Vote for Joshua! I am. Thank you, sir 🫡

Everyday we get to see regulars, tourists, hotel guests, visiting hooks baseball teams and customers who’ve become friends since my driveway days. It all feels unreal, still. To think of all the things I’ve done: Marines, Navy, bartending, railroad maintenance, oil field, refinery, locomotive mechanic and Amber Lynn Flatt 10 years an art teacher… I never worked in a restaurant kitchen my entire life so my credentials aren’t strong in the restaurant industry but I have a passion for what I do and I love sharing it with y’all. You don’t need a culinary degree to start a restaurant (it helps), you just need to believe in yourself and believe people will love it. Is it a perfect pizza? No. Is it a pizza I love? Absolutely. From the bottom, top, sides, ventricles and valves of my heart, I just want to say, thank you. I love this city. I couldn’t do it without you and my awesome crew!

We had an injury in the McPie family!!! 🥺 Our newest dough maker hit a deer while riding his motorcycle the other day. He suffered a broken leg and road rash all over his arms. This man has been a blessing, coming in and doing an amazing job making dough and all the dough balls I get to toss out for yall. Not only was he amazing at his job, he gave me time to relax and take a step back from every task involved with the restaurant. I’m praying for a speedy recovery and his return to the shop when he is fully able. But if you can help him cover expenses and whatnot in the meantime, it would mean a great deal to us here at Marty McPies. Thank you and god bless. 🙏🏽

Every day I look out the window from my restaurant and see feeding hundreds of people my favorite burger ever. A burger that was born and raised in Corpus, a burger that became a staple in our community and beyond. Everyday I think, “if a burger from Corpus can do it, why can’t pizza?”. I don’t know where this pizza life will lead me and my crew but I’m so proud of what we’ve done and all the things we are accomplishing at the moment. Dreams start small and literally have no limit. They’re dreams. I’m just happy to be here, a born and raised Corpus Christi kid feeding my city pizza. We love you so much CC.

What a weekend it was. I cannot express how special yall made us feel this weekend during our grand opening. We have worked so hard to get here and we haven’t stopped working hard since.
